I got incapped a dozen times last night trying to DNA sample CL 30 creatures. My Rancor and Gaping Spider Hunter could not get aggro off even though my pistol was not equipped. Add to the fact that the harvesting often brings right into the middle of the nest before it is completed... and that made for a loooong frustrating night.

Thats because the spider and rancor are both vicious animals so they'll be hard to stop fighting.. also some of the more defensive species will aggro to them even though they weren't ordered to attack.

The bottom line is don't have vicious and hard to control pets out playing bodyguard duty when your dna sampling, the second the intended donar gets a question mark over their head your chances of not spooking them is drastically reduced.
