i just made master yesterday and i've been making kimos to try to get really good dna for making my rancors and gurrecks and the like. i've killed at least 10 though just from sampling and have yet to get one dna sample. i'm just wondering if anyone knows if this is a bug or can tell me anything i can do to boost my success rate or other creatures in the wild to sample from.

You cant sample kimo, the sampling starts becoming very unreliable around CL75 and utterly impossible at CL90 which is where the Kimogila are.

Yeah Kimos can not be sampled i agree it has something to do with its CL. I am sure you canty sample CL70+ mobs (Not that i would ever try). But as to what the Kimos True CL is no one will ever know till it can be tamed. True the exixst in the wild, but BE creatures are not always the same CL as the ones in the wild

If you go to Lok and find a lair, a "Hatchling" will eventually spawn, and you can sample from them.
I have about 40 samples in my basement.

I think the hatchlings are around CL25 anyway, so the fact is they're very poor at making the more powerful clones. But at least you get an idea of what size the Kimogila might be when they bring in the new system at the turn of the century.
