Maybe for you, but not for me. I crit failed a couple of times last evening (Dec. 15) and had the samples returned to my inventory.

I think you didn't notice the DNA going back into your inventory. The craft window clears so it looks like all the DNA poofed but it actually went back to your inventory. This occured for other craft items as well.


It was a nice bug but its not the way the game should work.

First crit fail on making the Generic DNA. They fixed it. When you crit fail now the samples are destroyed. Just FYI.
