So....

I'm 1/1/0/1 CH and 1/0/1/0 BE. I got into both professions at the same time, thinking it would be cool to make my own pets. I get super excited about the changes, thinking that using CH and BE together will now be worthwhile.

Log in last night, and I had some crappy DNA samples on me, but I wanted to mess around. So with my crappy DNA samples, I was able to make crappy pets... mostly lvl 4 or 5.

Clearly I'm not expecting to be able to make uber critters, since I couldn't do that before the patch. But my DNA harvesting skills are so low that I can't get anything useful.

Should I just suck it up and max out my DNA tree before even messing with anything else? I would love to be able to make good, useful lvl 10 pets, trying to sell to folks in my town. I want to make it up to at least 4/0/4/4 (tissues don't appeal to me... maybe later), but I'm not a grinder. I want to get to that level by making stuff for myself and other people.

Without DNA 4, or at least 3, am I pretty much screwed?

This is unfortunately the problem with Novice (and low level) crafters in any profession right now.

I'm in sthe same boat as you... Lol, even _I_ won't use pets I can make... Though I made an ok level 7 kaadu yesterday.
