Thread: How to do the BE terminal in HQ's?
Hey guys. I am not a Bio Engineer, but a combat class on Wanderhome who organizes raids against player HQ's often. So far we've taken down 5. But every time we've done it, the BE portion has always been a challenge. First, there are so few BE's, especially on the side of the Empire, and second, the BE terminal is apparently a confusing and difficult puzzle, unlike the other 4.
A couple HQ's have survived simply because it took the BE 20-30 minutes to work the terminal.
So my question/request is this: could any of you who are knowledgeable on this subject please provide a detailed write-up on how to do the puzzle? What I want is something I can forward to a BE before an HQ attack to prepare him for what he will see... kind of a BE Terminals for Dummies kind of thing.
It would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and if there are any imperial BE's on Wanderhome please let me know your name so I can call on you when it comes time to attack an HQ!

I can get it done in 2-3 minutes...
Yeah we got one on Wanderhome who can do that, but if he's not on, oy, that's a painfully long 20-30 minutes of holding an HQ

Ah ok, I think I get it. I should mention spoiler though, since apparently people like the discovery... but for my team destroying the HQ the actual HQ destruction is more important than the BE's "aha" moment 
.
So basically A=T, G=C... if it gives you a string of ATACAG you need to select TATGTC? Could someone who has done it confirm this please? If that's the case then thank god, I think that's something that I can explain to the BE, heh.

From what I gathered, isnt this the same thing as DNA in Biology? Havent you all taken biology before?? In DNA sequencing, T goes to A and C goes to G. When you sample DNA you need to copy it, so the first step is a reversal of the codes, and then you can use that new DNA.

Well that really depends. DNA is often read 5' to 3', so you may need to turn the sequence around once you decoded it into the other strand. Also you may need to decode it into RNA, which means T is U. Ifthey put in alternative splicing, then you must take out any intron fragments in the DNA sequence and add in the 5' cap. Also any hairpins in the sequence must be accounted for, and skiped. After doing all of that there is no reason why it shouldn't take you more than 20-30 seconds to figure out, after all it is only molecular biology. Now if it involved protein chemistry, then yes, it could take you a while.
