This should probably be added to the FAQ since this question comes up every so often, and I'm having a difficult time using the search engine. Hey guys, lets all work together and get this one going!

PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE ONLY GUIDELINES. DIFFERENT SERVERS HAVE DIFFERENT MARKETS. IF YOUR SERVER DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF BIO-ENGINEERS, YOU PROBABLY WILL GET A LOT MORE BUSINESS, THUS YOUR PRICES CAN REFLECT THAT.

Q: How much should I charge for my PetStims?
A: The general rule that is being followed by the majority of Master BE's across all servers is:

(Power * Charges) / 10 = Price

Example: 950 Power, 25 Charges = 950*25/10 = 2375 Credits.

Q: How much should I charge for my PetVitals?
A: The general rule that is being followed by the majority of Master BE's across all servers is:

Power * 100 = Price

Example: P41 = 41 * 100 = 4100 Credits.

Q: How much should I charge for my Tissues?

Guys, I have no idea how to price this. I was charging 3000 per point, so a +15 tissue would grab me 45k credits. But I think I'm charging too high (I purposely made it high because I get too many /tell's)

Q: How much should I charge for my pets?
A: There are two thoughts on this. Pets that are CL10 and below, and Pets that are CL11 and above.

CL10 pets tend to have a higher market value since anyone in the game can use them (example: I have MAS in my guild with *no* fighting skills. Everytime he travels, he puts his pet on guard and runs). CL11+ pets can only be used by those in the Creature Handler profession. Thus, CL11+ pets are more stat dependant than CL10 pets.

Key stats that customers look for (from my experience.. please add your own!):

Strong Disease: Great for PvP
Strong Poison: Great for PvE
Light Amor: Great for your pet's ability to take a beating.
High HAM *without* Ranged Attack: Great for tanking
High resists: A great bonus to Armor, or alternative to a pet without Armor.
Cats: They keep up with a X34 and Speeder bike (but not swoops).
Mounts: They double up as a mount (great backup if your vehicle dies), and can attack if need be.

If someone can help me find the Excel spreadsheet for the pricing model, that'd be great!

Q: How should I label my goods?
A: Labelling is a very important part of making a good sale!

Meds:
Pet Stimpack C, 950 Power, 25 Charge = Name - Power/Charge
PetStimC - 950/25

Pet Vitalpack B, 40 Charge.
PetVitalB - P41

Personally: All PetStim's I make have something like this:

PetStimC - 950/25 - 'feedback - 666,-3930 CORONET

Pets:

CL15, Razor Cat, 6500/5000/4500 HAM, 44% Resists,Light Armor, Attack Speed 2.02, To Hit: 0.31, Damage: 250-260, No ranged, Strong Poison and Dizzy specials

Naming convention: CL Level, type of pet, HAM, Attacks, Special1/Special2, ARxRAxRxx where AR= Armor rating, RA = ranged attack, R = resists.

CL15 RCat 6500/5000/4500 2.02/0.31/250-260 SPoison/Dizzy AR1RA0R44

Why bother? Because when people look at your vendor, they'll organize by name. This way, your PetStim's will show up based on Type, then by power, then charge. Your pets will be organized based on CL Level. Remember, your customers will probably be returning, so they'll get used to the system and realise that the extra time you put into your products saves them time by not having to look up your pet for its stats.

Q: Whats the best way to sell my goods?
A: As with any other profession, it's dependant on what your goals are. If you want to use your BE Vendor as a method of great revenue potential, work on making good sales and great customer service. Throw in a stimpack and a vital pack in for free. Find a Tailor to utilize your chef's. Is there a major mall in your Galaxy that has high traffic? Why not make stims for them if they provide the resources (Do you actually think ATi makes *all* ATi graphic cards? No way, they subcontract that stuff out!).

Make use of your galaxy trade forums, throw up a few pet stims on bazaar's on Dathomir, Dantooine, Endor, Lok and make sure the waypoint to your shop is in the title. If someone sends you a /tell asking for something, send them to your vendor. Minimize your in-person sales (the added benefit is that if they don't have cash on hand, they're not running around looking for a Banking terminal). Remember, McDonald's doesn't do delivery for a reason.

Q: Who are my customers?
A:
CL11+ Pets = Creature Handlers
CL10 Pets = Everyone but Creature Handlers
CL35 Pets = Master CH's (remember, they can call 2-3 pets. So two CL35 pets are VERY attractive)
PetStims/PetVital: Everyone who has a pet
Tissues = Tailors and Chef's

.........

I think this is a start.. please start adding to this!

My own prices...

power * charges / 10 for stims sold on the bazaar.

power * 35 for vitality packs sold on the bazaar.

Both are discounted 10% when sold on my vendor.

Highest bonus * 100 for tissues.

My pet calculations are rather complex, and consider the total HAM, armor, specials, ranged, resists and attack mods (damage, speed and hit). Far too involved to describe here, especially since my worksheet is at home, not memorized.

But even with these low prices, I still bring in around a million credits a week.

I don't bother labelling stim type, just power and charges. For example, Pet Stim 28/1034 or Pet Vitality 78. The stim type (B, C, etc.) isn't really significant, considering anybody can use them, and considering I don't charge differently for different types of stims. Although, swapping charges and power might make them easier to read. I'll have to start doing that. Pet Stim 1034/28 is a more useful listing on the vendor.

I charge as much as people will pay me for them. This tends to be far greater than the calculations above.

Q: How much should I charge for my Tissues?
A: The going rate is 250credits per point.

Example: +15 tissue would be sold for 3750.

When it comes to tissues that have two skill modifiers, some BE's charge for both (ie: +15/+15 tissue would be sold for 7500), others charge just for the skill modifier of the higher value (ie: +15/+10 would be sold for 3750).

Please keep in mind that the maximum value for any one wearing clothing that utilizes tissues is +25.
