What is the min cl for training a cupa as a mount? 4? 5? 6? 7?

Assuming you mean a CL10 when adult, mine aren't trainable til CL7.

Lvl 10 pets don't seemmountable until lvl 7 (10).
Mountable? Ride-able? Sounds a bit rude to me.

My38 cu pa was mountable at 27. I was able to add saddles to CL10 banthas at level 6. Both of these are BE pets of course.

a master CH in my guild could not train a CL7(10) as a mount, yesterday.....
Wonder if it's based on the stats?

60% of the max CL for the creature. If the CL is 10, the creature generally needs to be CL 7 to be mount-trained, if it is CL 70, it will need to be CL 43 or higher at least to be mount trained.
CL 70% can be mount trained, the uber Bantha I made recently for a customer is probably the baddest mount on the server.

I made 3 level 10 Cu Pas and could not train any of them as mounts until they were Level 8. Not sure why...

It has to do with the size of the creature. Bantha can be mount trained at CL5(10) as they are bigger beasts to begin with. The Cu Pa have to wait until they are CL8(10) before they can be mounted.
