I started off using Toxic Merek Battlelord DNA and combined them to make my level 60 (or was it 50) something pet. Resist came out the same as the battlelord. After 4 days of generational sampling, I managed to whittle it down to a level 16 pet without armor, 5k/3k/4k HAM, and 20-30 damage, and the same resists.
Is it even possible to get it to level 10? I ensured that the DNA sample I put in the Aggression slot was under 100 points (preferrably in the 40s) for Courage, Fierceness, and Power. However, I maintained 100-130 on the other stats, except Dependability which somehow managed to be 700 or 800 (I don't know if this plays a factor in pet level).
Any tips/advice via reply to this post, messaging or in game email/chat would be much appreciated. I'm trying to get it's HAM to be in the 10k range and another version of it would have low health & action but high mind (for those docs out there).

You sampled it that low
If you can get to 16, I don't see a reason not to make 10.
The main prob you will have is getting enough DNA from your creatures to make a new gen...but you haven prob hit this anyway. Really I don't see something like that a useful pet as the decreasing HAM is not worth the cost of all those resists which are not going to be hit most of the time. Also, how much would you sell it for? really it's a show pet just to say you have...
It is an interesting pet, but not practical...If you are looking for a CL10 you can sell, try using a 2nd gen MH/MH/gen1/gen1/gen1 recipe...they are fairly easy to find...If you just want to make an insane pet for show.../salute

I'm not sure of your BE experience, but if you are crafting your first CL10 pet it's best to start with something simple. Using Toxic Merek Battlelord DNA is not simple
Most CL10 pets are used by people who use them as tanks. Tanks need a good amount of kinetic % to be effective - so that means using MH DNA. The VD/HP recipe in the FAQ is a great way to see how vulnerabilities/resists effect creature level. I would recommend that once you have got yourhead around that you look into minimising the amount of generations required to get the desired result. Getting a CL10 pet after 4 generations isn't going to be time-effective especially as it is possible to get a good result in only two generations. Look into getting everything but energy and kinetic vulnerable in the first generation and then use MH-MH-1st-1st-1st and you should get your desired result.

I tried to do the same thing with Merek Harvesters. I made 6 initial clones and sampled down and down until it wittled to one pet. The result is found here: Clickie

WWWWWWHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The one star bandit strikes...
I wish people would leave alittle message explaining their 1*ing...particularly when they take the time to 1* Everyone in the thread.
I suspect its a CH bitter a the fact that they have been ignored by the devs.
These Non-CH pets are not exploiting a bug...they are simply pets that have pushed the envelope furthur than the Devs expected possible. Buffs and Armor are the same, but Docs and AS don't get 1*d for pushing their craft to the limits...
If a CH wants to complain about pets, why not complain about the validity Checks and the Max Sampling CL.
When something like This is a CH pet, there is no need to worry about a Non-CH pet having 9-11k Health.

Nearly every thread that contains CL10 recipes gets bombarded by 1 stars. It is just one of the many reasons I ignore the star rating system.
