Thread: Bio-Engineer's Potential
- 60% is NOT the cap on kinetic/energy
- Light armor is NOT the maximum armor rating on a player-controlable pet
- Area creature specials are NOT impossible to pass through
And for all I know, things we haven't even thought of may be possible to modify. Upon my discovery, I was quite excited. I'm not going to disclose any specific information regarding my tests or expirements; I merely suggest that there MAY be more out there, and I have a strong feeling that it is possible. Of course,I could be wrong and only few, if any, ofthe above listed possibilities will turn outtobe true, butit's something to work toward.
In the event that I create something that supports these rumors, I will post pictures here. This will take some more research, testing, expirementing and time, but in theend, I believe it will beworth it.

You can't just say that you found something and are not going to release evidence...
I didn't say I wasn't going to release evidence. When I create a creature that proves this, then I will post it.
Nifty damage tho ^^Although doesn't the all vouln thing eat stims like crazy?

Coolness, and I didn't assume that he was the tank, no kin resists after all,

Part of the problem was the speculation without any info. There are a number of people here that would be glad to help if you have a good indicator that something is indeed possible but speculation without info kind of goes down the wrong way
It's not that I need help. I'm already making the pet, it's just going to take some time, and I'm confident in where it's going. All I want to do here is encourage some to explore BE a bit deeper as I have to see what's possible on their own, as I believe finding things on your own is much more fun than having the information just given to you.
Basically, I'm trying to convince a group of highly intelligent people to set aside logic for a moment and ignore what they've been taught to be true and attempt to create creatures that go against all that has been believed to be in order to once again expierience the excitement of discovery. I know it sounds stupid, andit probably is, butit's worth a try....right? ![]()
I guess in my attempt to promote fun, I've caused frustration. A wasted effort, I suppose. Perhaps I posted this a bit too soon, but finding new things in this profession gets me so giddy.

the reason we all jumped on you was because you were claiming that established boundaries were incorrect, and you posted no evidence...
No one believed you because we can very easily falsify your evidence. If you can verify your evidence then perhaps we will believe that it is possible - although I have to stress that verification through bugs or exploits does not necessary constitute evidence. Agreed the TC episode with the Ancient Bull Rancor is evidence to suggest that medium armour is possible - it was conducted in an environment that is designed to be buggy. Seeing is believing - am at college so I can't see the contents of that clicky (some crazy web filters) - but I will check it when I get home and adjust my comments accordingly.
And its not that impressive a result, its just MDH MDH X Y MDH (or MDH X Y Z MDH) where X and Y are low level DNA that have vulns to everything between the two of them. Probably no experiment, or just max psych on both gens.

Have you heard rumors sayingplayers havenot yet "tapped into BE's full potential" scattered accross the forums? One particular post I remember stated heavy armor could even be possible. Of course, it was just an average player, so I couldn't be sure. But, because I've heard strange rumors in the past, I thought it could be possible...
Recently, I started ome simple tests. I decided to look to see if there was something more, and I figured if I found nothing, at least I would have a better grasp of the entire BE profession as we know it. Well, while I was testing, I came accross something that could prove these rumors true. You may think me crazy, and I can't blame you if you do, but i have reasons to believe that:
- 60% is NOT the cap on kinetic/energy
- Light armor is NOT the maximum armor rating on a player-controlable pet
- Area creature specials are NOT impossible to pass through

You make it sound like there is some great conspiracy going on ... /whistle
Lets be serious here, a lot of the threads that say this are really out of date. When I was doing research for the research thread I came across many threads that claimed to have push through an area special - however, not one of them provided a screenshot nor a method that may prove this correct. I feel that the only way to get these things (i.e. break cap, get heavy armour or an area special) are through bugs. We have seen on the TC with lammer and Arthur who have Medium armour samples that all stats cap at 1000. If this is true then it would be true of anything higher than it. The scary thing is, is that anything higher than
this would also cap at 1000 - which to me suggests that the game is not intended for it.
There are tried and test formulae which give accurate results to within one or two percentage points for all stats you throw at them. More often than not they are dead on. And every single time these formulae predict a kinetic or energy value above 60% the template comes out at exactly 60%.
These values are capped.
> Light armor is NOT the maximum armor rating on a player-controlable pet
Already proven, as noted above by Zadokk.
> Area creature specials are NOT impossible to pass through
Let's see one then.
> I'm not going to disclose any specific information regarding my tests or expirements
Then I won't believe your results.
