Thread: Flurry Server BE Special Order

I'm posting this request to the Flurry Board, Flurry Trade and the BE forum.

I am hoping to find a BE willing to undertake an unusual challenge: I need 30-50 Vir-vur deeds, below level 10, with no special attributes. I need them by Saturday afternoon (yes, this Saturday, March 12th, and afternoon EST). Having spoken with a couple BEs in-game, I understand this is no trivial undertaking. I'm willing to negotiate a price that takes into account your time and effort.

If you're interested, or know someone who might be, please send an in-game email or tell to Ezzer. I'll be on this evening.

Thanks.

First of all, you may get some flak for posting here, as many would say you should've onlyposted on Flurry's Trade Forum.

But what do you plan to do with 30-50 Vir Vir's? I would assume that you're grinding CH for a tame/release scheme? In any case, I would assume that these would be "trash pets". In this case, I would recommend Gnorts since they use less Flora and Creature Food than Vir Vir's, and would be more economical for you and the BE. Something like this I would recommend finding Novice grinding BE's if possible, they usually start out with low level yard trash forDNA sampling xp.

FLURRY: Felni Fosk [FOSK ARMS; Master Munitions Trader;12pt MWS]
Corellia - Renovo Natu [700, -3740]
Naboo - Theed [-5435, 3430]
Dantooine - Mining Outpost [-390, 2910]

KETTEMOOR: Olo Lightseeker [Lightseeker Labs; MBE/MCH Commando]

I was warned that I might catch some grief from a few BEs over here who store their klikniks up their posteriors, but I figured it was worth a shot, given the time constraint under which I'm working.

The bunnies aren't for CH grinding, their for a guild event taking place over the weekend. I got a few nibbles over on the Flurry forum and hope to conclude a deal with a BE tonight.

strike two....the BEs who care most about trade posts on the forums arent the ones with a bug up their ass, as you so tactfully implied, but are usually the veterans here who spend enough time on this forum to care about the spam on it. They're also the ones most likely to fill such an intensive order.

But that being said, yes, a NBE would be fine for this task. Assuming your guild has plenty of resources to organize such an event, offer your BE 20k per vir vur, most of them are more than eager to make a fair dollar on their pet grinding, and if all you care about is being NCH, not ham or specials, then the grinding DNA they get from yard trash will do fine for makingnonCH ogre bunnies for you

30 Vir Vurs means 150 DNA samples from trash....even assuming 100% success on trash, thats still 1500 seconds spent sampling - thats 25 minutes, not even counting time spent in combat on aggros, moving from sample to sample, and time wasted on failures. Factor in crafting time and that may make it an hour, hour anda half, maybe two of solid grinding and crafting. Time is the most valuable commodity for any crafter

Sounds about right. Made 35 critters from Corellia pests in about 1.5 hours with no combat skills.

What level of BE though? If they are novice they are going to fail 50% of the time, that means you need to double the time taken...

A master will no fail too much on trash though.

As for whether this post should be in this forum, it most definately should not. Clicky

Im not bitter about or, or have a klik up my ass, but we get threads about trade all the time, and tbh it's all just spam that should not be posted here in the first place.

Well, thanks for the input and I'm sure you'll all be pleased to know I had my order filled last night by a fine BE named Koso, who made a decent chunk of change. So everyone is happy, right?

Right.

...as to posting or not posting potential BE special requests or orders here on the BE forum, you may wish to revisit the issue. As I noted in the trade forum, it's not like the very basic nature of your profession isn't geared toward sales: you create product for use by *other professions*. Argue all you like, unless you're a CH, most of the pets you generate aren't even personally useful. Because of that, and because of the rather...er...limited number of posts made to this forum, I can't see any reason you'd not like to consider having a more open and friendly policy.

That's my 2 cents (and 400,000+ credits) as someone who deals with BEs in various capacities.

And they were some very judgemental two cents.

You seem to imply that we produce sub-standard products by saying that "the pets [we] generate aren't even personally useful" - you think this is because of bad engineering? If would care to read the CH forum and even our own for a period longer than your attention span (so guessing 2-3 seconds) you would have realised that there have been many calls to the devs to increase the ability of pets. You would have also noticed, if your talents were distinctive enough, that the CURB CH and BE representatives are calling for greater definition and power back into pets. I'm not sure how well you know you're history, but you should know that pets have been hit with some heavy nerfs, including two BE crafting revamps - and yet there are still many problems. The devs manage to fix problems but create more.

As for trade request posts - profession forums are set up to discuss the profession at hand, not trade requests. I don't discuss Bio-Engineering on the Flurry server board so I would expect you to pay the same curtesey and respect to me.

Same here...no spam. I get more than enough requests for stuff in game, I'd rather it didn't follow me out of game too.
