Your "mask scent" skill would be pretty basic and you cant operate vendors. If you need to take down creatures, something went wrong - as BE you need to be able to get close and take samples, without them noticing.

BUt I only have one skillpoint left...not much I can do with it. I need to be able to take down a creature, survey for resources and milk creatures.

Do you really _need_ TKM or could you do with maybe 2 or 3 lines of TKA? On another note, maybe a ranged combat prof wouldnt be a bad choice either, because if you have the right specials you can root or slow down the critters so they cant get close.

Pretty good, but yiu can do a little better. Here's a Template of a friend of mine b4 & after CU:
Master Bio_Engineer
Master TKA
Novice Scout 4/0/4/0
Novice Medic 0/0/1/4
Novice CH 0/0/0/0
(1 pt left over)
If u are lvl 55, u will be 58 (got 3 morelvls for nove CH). Your Mask Scent will work much better (for sampleing DNA).
Also, you can use any lvl 11 or 12 pets that u make trying to get to lvl 10 & u can have 4 insted of 2.
bests parts are:
1. People will soon realize that u can pull 1 enemy at a time from a nest with a pet & attak it quick so it doest bug "lowly" pet.
2. I was able to make 2 usable pets (for starters) ALL WITH post-CU DNA!
Lvl 6 Cu-Pa/3649 H/20% Kinetic/40% Heat/ 59-275 dmg!
Lvl 14 Gurrcat/3657 H/24% Kinetic/24% Energy/43% Heat/ 57-271 dmg.
Secret is to use Huurton DNA in all but Physique, then experimet it to the max, damage to max, & 1 pt into Psychology.
I dont know if there are more lvl 19 or below that are usable. But, u cant make high lvl pets, yet.

Interesting template, but what do you do about surveying for resources? Do you buy all your stuff?

why do you need to "take down" creatures?
you really don't need any combat skills to be a decent BE.
reliance on mask scent and skilled used of 'burst run' is far more effective than fighting talents. in fact, most would say that mask scent is essential - and it's not as broken as you might think.

I agree with others. I'd either give up some TK or Novice artisan to get the last two boxes of exploration. mask scent is more important than either TK or surveying.

How do I harvest the meat, hide etc for meds for docs if I can't kill a creature? Maybe I'm missing something here....sorry for these questions...I'm still pretty new to this game.

You don't need to be a master to kill a creature, there are just some nice perks for master. Also, BH would take less skill points than TKA since Explore IV is a given and give you some kinetic resist armor instead of innate, although mask scent clothes with innate armor seems a nice combo too. Basically if you want TKM and BE and artisan, don't plan on making pets and you'll be ok. Ideally you want MBE (121), Explore IV(14), Business III(24), which requires 159 skill points to do about everything you need as a BE. To take down a creature, you can figure out what you want to do with the remaining 91 skill points....MCH being 63 from here and MBH being 92...so you can almost be MBH. I'd be tempted to toggle Bus3 and MBE.

Not bad, but like most other people I suggest tossing the artisan for more exploration.

The Novice CH one was a cool idea too.

don't be sorry, it's cool.
if you view 'hunting' as a means to an end and don't necessarily enjoy it - i think you would be a lot better off, and in for a less stressful experience, to have others do your meat hunting for you.
that is, if you can manage this during the first few (lean) weeks of BE-hood. it will also free up a bit more time to experiment with and perfect your craft.
the credits you'll be making will pay for any ingredients you might need and that you can't efficiently gather on your own.
at the very least, it certainly gives the armored cretins a task with which to occupy their time.

Yes, I'd rather not be hunting, but I need a way to make money, I thought that making meds for doctors would be one way to do it. I'm just barely getting by right now...
