OK, time to show my ignorance. Is crustacean meat the same as mollusk meat? I know I need mollusk meat for mimetic circuitry but does this crustacean meat count as mollusk? If not what is it good for? (Other than generic seafood or an odd trophy on my mantle piece) Granted the 4 units I got aren't going to be useful for much of anything by themselves, but I could get more. The stats on it were all in the 800's so I'd be willing to go hunt more if it was actually going to be useful.

It's shocking how many bio-engineers know so little about RL animals. Crusteaceans are typicallycrabs. Mollusks are typicallysnails. So no they are not the same at all.

LOL. Thanks Tal-N. Any ideas on what the crustacean meat would be useful for? Seemed to bea moderatly high level drop, so ...

Actually i thought crusteacean was crabs, lobsters, cray fish(craw daddies), where as mollusks were clams, oysters, muscles. AM i wrong on this one?

Yeah, not to butt in where my furry nose shouldn't be, but I know snails are gastropods. Got a baseball sized Apple Snail in the aquarium at home.

Crustacean and mollusk meat are in the same situation as milk. Namely it's looted in random and very small quantities. The technical term of a mollusk is anything with a soft body and lives in ahardened carapace or shellthough.

Not sure RL animal knowledge really carries into a fantasy universe, however on that note; I find it far more shocking how little some BE's know about the items they create and thier uses.

The phylum is Molluska (mollusks) and the class is gastropoda (gastropods) so you are both right.

I was looing for an animal on dantooine that drops crustacean meat.

Wow, um, you use a shellfish harvester tool (which requires no artisan skill to use) to harvest crustacean meat.

i some how got some with harvesting and the stats were uber on it, but i didnt pay attention what i killed. but what is this shellfish harvestor you mentioned and where do i get one.
