It is rather an honor to be replying to your very first post on the forums Outbreak25. Welcome.

The problem with pet making at the moment is that it was broken during the CU and has not yet been repaired. If you read the forums or search for 'recipe' - anything that was posted after about April 30 should work. Anything before will not. There are a few recipes for the new game but I wouldn't call any of them 'good'.

Special attacks are broken as well - no special attacks are showing up in the DNA of the creatures at the present time which is why that aspect of pet making has you flommoxed. We cannot add them if we cannot get them in the DNA.

I suggest you read the old literature about pet-making that appears at the top of the forum and then go out and try to make some for yourself - and wait ...there is still a lot you can learn about maximizing health and damage even with the DNA that is currently available in the wild.

You will need to mix DNA from higher level animals (anything with a fortitude over 1000) with that from lower level animals such as 'yard trash' or even huurtons - you are looking for a fortitude less than 500 to 'dilute' the 1000 fortutude samples. Experiment with different slots on the DNA template - each one has it's own role to play and how you slot them in makes a difference.

Good luck to you in the game,

Wow, a 1st post and did it in our forum.

Welcome to the World Of BioEng.

We're all waiting for the Devs to fix pet crafting so that we can start making pets again. I just hope it doesn't take as long to get it fixed as it is taking to get the Secret Research Data added to the game.

Any creature with a creature level of 20 or higher has 1000 fortitude. Fortitude gives armor which drives the CL up so that is why you pet came out with a CL of 172.

Try experimenting, as stated above, using a DNA sample that does not have 1000 fortitude in the first slot of your template. If you experiment on physic, don't go above 500 on fortitude.

Welcome to BE and good luck.
