Hi chaps,

I'm currently 0-1-1-0 but as you are aware it's a laborious process. Which part of the tree would you advocate mastering first.....ideally I'm looking at getting to Master within the next 1-2 months. Any tips?

Hi there

It kind of depends on your goals. If you want to sell products, I'd recommend engineering techniques as you go up the dna sampling tree concurrently. Engineering techniques will allow you to make higher quality pet stims, tissues and chef foods. That is what I did when I was grinding. I actually did clone engineering last. However, if you want to put the emphasis on making animals, then you'd want to focus on clone engineering and not worry as much about the other trees, with the exception of course of dna sampling.

By the way, as for tips, I'd recommend to have fun with it. If it gets boring grinding something, then perhaps choose one of the other trees to grind or take a break from it and do your other profession. This helped me from getting burned out.

And don't be afraid to experiment with different ingredients, dna samples, etc as you progress as a bio-engineer. To me this is the most fun crafting profession in the game and seems much more open-ended than many of the other crafting professions out there. Allows for more creativity.

Hope this helps.

I've been doin BE for a couple months now, taking my sweet ass time. I want to be master bad, but its a slow process... And I like to kill stuff, so I spend about 80% of in game time killing things, be it faction or animal. The other 20% is dna sampling/resource gathering/crafting.

One of the best ways I have found to grind stuff, is to craft while waiting for shuttles. Get a droid with a crafting station and carry some materials with you, or in the droids storage compartment. Pull it out while waiting and craft away. When I do this I use the crap flora and creature stuff I collect, (I harvest every last animal that I kill) and just use practice mode so my inventory doens't fill quickly. Waiting in a starport I often rackup 10k or so xp waiting on a shuttle like this.

Bio Engi is fun, and odesn't have to suck on the way up. Get an elite combat professino with it and play.

I just mastered BE, and want to go into production for all the CH's, CM's, Doc's, and Tailors. How do I get started and what do I really need to start??

Thanks

If you read a few of the other "new to BE" or "noob BE needs help" type of posts you'll get a lot of info really quick.

If you're going to be competitive, and you're not going to have an aneurism in the process ... I'd suggest picking to one section at a time, meds, tailor tissues, chef tissues, or pets(when they're fixed ...) and then go from there .... I was a well established doc crafter before the cu and I'm having trouble grasping all of the new BE stuff and I have the resources already ...

Without the resources, its going to drive you crazy and is going to be very expensive ... If I had to start from scratch, I'd gather up some schematic lists ... pick up ranger for a few months, collect good meats and then go back to BE ... but then ... you'd have to grind BE which isn't fun

Whatever you decide, good luck and take it slow, you'll enjoy it more and enjoy it for longer
