Hello BEs,

I'm looking to get into the BE crafting profession and think it will be best if I start small and grow slowly. What I would like to know is what are your top sellers and how much do these sell comparatively.

  • Is there one item you sell WAY more than any other?

  • Are there a top 3 that generally sell well? Or maybe a top 2?

Any input you have on this would be greatly appreciated and would help my foray into the world of BE crafting.

For my last Hooooorah as BE, I made a bunch of tailor tissues and pre-CU pet deeds. I stocked them on vendors last night, and sent an email to everyone on my customer list and made a post on the forum.

Within 3 minutes of sending out the emails I sold about:
8-crates of tensile resistance tissues (400k/crate)
3-crates of the terrain negotiation tissues (400k/crate)
10-Crates each of the mask scent, and 2 types of "healing" type tissues (200k/crate)

Throughout the night, I sold at least another 15 crates.

Stats ranged from +12 to +15... of course the tissues with higher stats sold first, but the +12 are selling also.

Tensile resistance tissues are where it's at. People used to pay 10's of millions for the ranged/melee defense SEAs... now they can get +25 for 100-200k.

Terrain negotiation is nice for people that don't have the skill points to pickup scout.... particularly Jedi.

Only sold 4 of 52 pet deeds... wasn't sure of the pricing, they might be a bit expensive

This is helpful information, keep it coming!!

I was originally thinking I would start by only crafting Stim Ds and then grow from there. Does that sound insane? viable? smart?

I agree that the Stim D, Deuterium Toss, and Bacta Toss enhancers are tops for the meds.

However, I have made far more money since the CU supplying one of my servers top Chefs with tissues (MNS and INN). They must be made with extremely high quality resources to be useful for a top-chef, but there is good money in it. Be sure to negotiate a contract with a chef before starting down this path though because the margin is pretty thin if you are using resources that you purchased pre-CU. A top-quality, high-volume chef like the one I am supplying also has a nearly insatiable appetite for these tissues. I am working my way up to 8 factories dedicated to production for this dedicated buyer. Once my former doc resources are exhausted, I will likely have to scale back operations, but until then I am going all out.

Definatly the way to go. I have 3 vendors on other planets away from my main store selling only stims.

1) Do stim D's (must get global vendor search turned on as well as planetry registered with appropriate name)

2) Do stim C's (not everyone is level 80 rememeber)

3) Create additional vendor for cm items (so durt toss, noerotoxin etc)

4) Create additional vendor for medic items (bacta toss / spray etc)

5) Create additional Stim vendors in other locations

6) Create additaional vendor for Doc items (endorphine injections etc)

7) Create tissues vendor selling tensile resistance (MD/RD) first

Take over the server

And, yes. You should concentrate on 1 or 2 products at first. Build your resource inventory and improve your product quality along the way. Stim Ds are an ideal product for this (IMHO) since they don't really require a lot of hard-to-find resources. The toughest thing to get is probably going to be Class4 Liquid Petrochem and good quality Tatooine Fiberplast. Once you find those, you will likely be able to compete fairly well in the stim business.

The chef tissues are a little less resource intensive, but you will need a lot more cash to get the intial resources of high enough quality. If you watch the spawns though, you should be able to find current spawns with sufficient quality to make high-end chef tissues within a few weeks.

I'm selling a lot of stim D's, and a few sim c's, but not many. B's don't sell at all. I haven't tried to do any of the other meds yet. 7 factories and they all stay busy.

I've got a guildie chef that I keep in business and a tailor friend that has made me about 23 mil so far
