Could someone clarify for me: to become Teras Kasi specialist, do I need to master all of brawling (which is what the strategy guide says) or just the unarmed tree (which is what I've read at stratics and elsewhere)?

Also, is all the information abou requirements posted somewhere i'm too stupid to find by myself?

You only need the Unarmed branch to reach the TK branch. Bad guide.

There is a good character builder over at Allakahazams. You might want to check that out.

I only have Rifleman I right now I plan on mastering someday.

I have cdef rifle 36-73 wnd 4.9 spd 3.4 +0 0m, +42 35m -80 64m vs

DLT20A Rifle 90=139 wnd 9.6 spd 5.8 -70 0m +28 45m -50 64m

I'm thinking maybe with my low wpn skill I should stick with CDEF and switch to DLT20A later?

Use the DLT20a.

put a powerup on it or slice it if you can afford it (or both!

the DLT20a is good except for creatures with energy protection or armor.

lots of ppl favor it due to it's relatively low ham cost and good min /not bad max dmg.

when you need armor piercing, pull out an E11, laser, or T21 (if available).

when you're facing armor or energy resists get a Jawa Ion Rifle (stun dmg) or the SG82 (cold dmg)

spraystick is supposed to be acid - but it's energy, Tusken is supposed to be kinetic, but it's energy. hopefully un-bugged soon.

keep at it, good luck!

I personally would dump both of them and try and find a good laser rifle. Search your servers message board for a weaponsmith. You should be able to pick one up for about 5k if you look around. Good luck.

I was worried that the DLT's negative to hit factors combine with my beginner level skills and the wpns slower (compared to CDEF) wpn speed would actually mean I'd do less damage than I would with the CDEF?

I barely got rifleman I. I have about 3k to my name but found out delivery missions if I stick to it next time I'm on I should have 10k or so to buy wpns that I've seen in some of them guild halls. I can't afford to buy power ups right now and don't want to beg fora slice. I've played a total of about 2 days now so I'm still learning the ropes.

Also I'm thinking maybe I should've gone pistol. Allot of people complaining about rifleman right now. The diff between a CDEF pistol and a CDEF Rifle in long range is zero. The point of going rifle for me is that I like killing mobs from very far away. If thats not actually possible maybe pistol is the better bet?

Pistol is very easy compared to rifleman. Nobody can hit farther than 64m and it seems that both pistols and rifles hit with the same accuracy at that distance. But we can't hit jack up close. Also we have a severe damage multiplier that is hopefully going away soon to melee damage. Being a new rifleman is rough, we are supposedly getting some fixes "soon", but I am not holding my breath on that.

It seems all doom and gloom being a rifleman, but there are not many of us. Most of the fellow rifleman on this forum are good people and will help when they can. I like not being like everyone else, that is why I am a rifleman. Maybe that is a bad reason to stay a rifleman, but who knows.

A helpful tip would be to see if you can get a cl15 pet to tank for you if you don't group. It will make life alot easier starting out. If you are on bloodfin shoot me a tell and I will give you one. New CH's tame everything they see and give pets away like crazy, ask one if you can follow them around a bit for a pet.

If you need money run two deliverly missions to the same city on the other side of the planet and use the shuttle, you can rake up nice cash that way.

cl15 pet? I think I currently have a cl1 pet? Someone gave it to him. He's ok for two or three kills then I have to go scoop him up and let him heal in the datapad. Could I have like 2 or 3 of them so I could tag team with them? I forget his name somethign like cputo or whatever (three words). Corellia in Lowca. Walks on hind legs and have short front legs that hang in the air. I think two horns out of head or something. If he grew up he'd look allot like one of them dowca's they used to pull carts. Now I'm probably confusing you.

I just read in another post that armor messes up rifle abilities? I'm wearing a full set of mabari armorweave I did not notice any of my HAM stats going down when I put on the armor. I figured that those numbers controlled the maximum amount of armor I could wear not drain them when I wear the armor?

Would I be better off dumpng the armor?
