Thread: Hey Lamm
it's game season. since I work as a bartender in a college town, the Virginia Tech Hokies' winningness means extra hours (oddly enough, another 'game' that 60k people a week think is VERY important to come to town for... the irony is think).
add in a relationship with a non-gamer. of her many wonderful qualities, watching me play SWG for hours (especially since most of my 'play' is 'testing', which is only entertaining to folks who are deeply addicted to the game) isn't one of them.
other than that, you can pile some blame on Katamari Damacy... a game I stumbled across late, and gawk at continually as the scale slides from 'infinitesimal' to 'colossal'. and the fact that I've got a new Nikon (good pictures don't generally sit around in my apartment... I've had to go elsewhere for better light, at least). and a horde of other stuff.
oh... and for those who might have missed it... the new expansion, "Trials of Obi-Wan", is in beta testing. a lot of good players/testers and devs who may seem to be AWOL are alive and kicking... and under a strict NDA.
I wouldn't hold your breath on ANYTHING related to the manual... the game has shifted substantially (that IS one of the hallmarks of persistent MMORPG's), and ingame documentation (where it is available) is about all we can hope for.
I wish I had something to report from the devs... so far, I've filed my issues, suggestions, bugs, and random musings faithfully... and so far, I haven't been able to cross off any of the issues and bugs we listed in June.
EDIT: I forgot to mention: I hate Lithium. not the element, not any derivative compound: the forum provider. I refuse to spend more than 15 minutes trying to log in to the forums, so if you don't see a post from me, feel free to blame the forum system.

In a conversation last night onlivebetween myself,Kaomond and Reinya, we came to the conclusion that trying to contact your place of work to find out if you had been knocked into a coma in an accident and was therefore unable to login, would technically constitute 'stalking' and was therefore shelved.
I am sure thatwe can all breathe a sigh of relief that you are ok.
Thanks for the reply Lam, was mainlywanted to see if you where still out there. Grats on the girl and hope the OT isn't to hard on you! As for no info from the DEV's it figures didn't expect anything, we can hold our own and have for a long time thanks to people like you, Dor, Kao, and a whole bunch of others.
be well
P.S. can I get laser beams to come ouyt of my rancors eyes? Or maybe just lower the min cl of rancors to 1 and let me make an army of pink rancors!!!!!! muahahahahahaha

60,000 people at VPI games (VPI is the REAL name of the college, not "VA Tech")? hardly.
they've been building over at the ol' stadium... and it now holds 66,233... and it isn't finished. I hear we'll have a hair over 70,000 when they're done.
that's not a 'mega-stadium', mind you (Michigan Stadium holds 107,501)... but it looks like next year will feature a long-rumored match between Tennessee and VPI at the Bristol Motor Speedway (the owner of the track has offered the two schools $20 million dollars EACH). capacity there?
180,000.
that'd be a record.
so yeah... football season around here gets a little busy. now that we're in the ACC (and won the ACC football title last year in our inaugural ACC season), we've got basketball in the spring, to boot. heck, we beat Duke last year.
