Thread: CL 70 without using Kashyyyk
I dont have RoTW and was looking for a CL-70 receipe.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, or is it just get out there and keep trying.

This is an interesting problem actually. So ... I now turn it into a challenge. Let's see who can come up with the very BEST level 70 animal(s) made entirely with non-Kashyyyk (or any other expansion) DNA. Post your recipes here.
Best will be judged on several categories:
- Highest Health
- Highest Damage
- Highest Health AND Damage COMBO
- Highest in some other important category
Also ... aprize will be awarded for:
- most deaths while trying to make this animal
Rules:
- only DNA from Tatooine, Naboo, Rori, Corellia, Dantooine, Dathomir, Endor, Yavin, Talus and Lok are permitted
- only FRESH DNA that has been sampled since this was posted (ie. no pre-CU stores, you can use old DNA but it must be available with the same stats in the wild still).
- only DNA from animals - either mission or wild - NOT from pet deeds is allowed for the first generation
- generational work is permitted
- every entry MUST be exactly combat level 70
- every entry MUST have: the recipe used (in enough detail to reproduce), a screenshot of the template, a screenshot of the result
Reward is .... knowledge that you did it better than anyone else could ....

She IS right ... you'll always make better pets with Kash DNA. But ... still would be interesting to see what can be made w/o it.

I tried making some CL 70s but kept getting CL 63/66. I'll keep trying but sampling malklocs isn't always that fruitful.

I like the challenge put forth by Dorelli , I hope some old BE's pick it up.
I actually have Rage of the Wook on another account.
Not really intersted in getting it for this account.

I too make nice CL70s with my old DNA but I am fast running out and only use this DNA for special "friends." I have to mix this DNA with current DNA as many stats on the old DNA come up 0.
I am trying to do this challenge but I think Dor is just trying to kill me off... 
Actually, as a CL18, I don't get to sample much on Kashyyyk as the wookiees kill me and blow up my bike so I never get to see many of the elites. I make most of my pets with DNA I pick up on other planets but as I often slip in one piece of Pre-CU DNA I can't share these recipes.
I'll keep dying and trying for you Dor.

Seriously ... one thing I found out today when I went to the warren is that combat level seriously does matter for sampling in the warren and probably on dathomir and so does having mask scent. You see I am only level 33 at the moment, working (back) up to higher but ... sheesh ... I get aggro'd bad by those level 50+ (is it 52?) horriblehuurtons.
I made a choice last night to drop mask scent (and proper pet making) for the moment, and THEN today I decided to go to the warren. This was insane. I did actually manage to get 2 samples of DNA from the 'dog in the middle room who sleeps' before he killed me. If you get them between the '?' and the '!' it will not only let you sample, it also stops the aggro! So does getting incapped in front of his nose.

Ok, here's my secret, almost always works. When the ? pops up, /pet. Usually calms them down. I sweet talk them as well. People passing by think I'm insane.
