I just want to do a little survey to see how many MBE/MCH's there are since all of will get shafted with the new lvl 80 pet requirements.

just wondering why you are happy for you ch half you know you will not get to use the lvl 71+ pets unless you drop enough be to get double elite?

Yes - but my main is pure combat so I get best of both worlds.
Personally I agree with the CL 80 pet only being for a CL80 character, as being cl80 denotes a choosing of pure combat for a player who requires the best weapons. If everyone had cl80 pets then the combat would quickly become unbalanced with low cl players able to attack high cl with impunity. And then the dreaded nerf bat would hit all.

that logic doesn't work for me, whatsoever.
how many "lower tier" MCHs who are not CL80s (and thus, a MCH/crafter or entertainer) are going to consider fighting a CL80 in pvp without special attacks?
a non-CL80 MCH could utilize - not wield - a CL80 creature if we are expected to defend ourselves in the field.
i would argue that ONLY non-CL80 MCHs should be permitted to obtain a CL80 creature.
a CL80 MCH = another elite combat profession + specials - and you talk about imbalance?

as I've said elsewhere:
if CL70 for a CL54 toon is BALANCED, then how is CL80 for a CL54 toon UNBALANCED?
