Thread: Result of experimentation failures
I started keeping track of this recently. For reference, here are the five Groups and ten Attributes:
- Physique: Hardiness, Fortitude
- Prowess: Dexterity, Endurance
- Mental: Intellect, Cleverness
- Psychological: Dependability, Courage
- Aggression: Fierceness, Power
Experimentation Failures:
physique failed: hardiness down, fortitude up
physique failed: hardiness down, fortitude up, dependability down
prowess failed: dex up, endurance down
prowess failed: dex down, endurance up, fierceness down
mental failed: intel up, cleverness down, dex down
psych failed: dependability up, courage down, hardiness down
psych failed: dependability up, courage down, cleverness down
psych failed, dependability down, courage up
aggression failed: fierceness down, power up, fortitude down
Seems to be that a failure causes:
- One Attribute withinthe Group to go up
- One Attribute within the Groupto godown
- Optionally, one random Attribute outside the Group to go down.
Would appreciate others keeping track of this as well and posting results.
I tried to find a pattern there too Anarrion and didn't. i've got a much larger selection of clones now to see if a failure in a specific pool jumps to a specific pool.... my previous experience with it was inconclusive, at best.
LOL didn't read the last bit my eyeballs read it as "signature material" /boggle
Thats been my experience. A failure causes 1 to go up, 1 to go down, and more often than not 1 non-related stat to go down elsewhere.
I"ve had a single crit fail occur on an experimentation point. In that case BOTH stats went down, AND two other stats went down. That was one borked clone I'll tell ya.
The really nasty thing about the extra reduction is that if that stat was maxed previously, you can NOT recover
it won't reopen the stat for experimentation.
What I hate the most is loosing fortitue on a fail thus loosing your armor
