Thread: Where would you spend your skill points?
Hi all,
First off, great posts here on the new BE stuff. I had BE for awhile a few months ago, gave it up, and am back. The new system is a bit confusing, but a lot more interesting than the old one.
My question to whoever is kind enough to answer it is where to spend skill points on BE? Given other things I want to keep, I have 34 skill points to spend on BE. My experience with it before was that making critters was more fun than making the cloth or food enhancements, but I'm open to being convinced otherwise. Based on those assumptions, I'm guessing that 1-0-4-4 would be a good way to spend these, but wanted the input of those more experienced with the profession than I am.
Thanks in advance.
That scenario you propsed would be what I would propse. At least for now.. it appears all the fun.. and all the money for that matter... seem to be in creature creation. Engineering IV gives you 7 experimentation points... and Sampling IV gives you access to High Quality DNA samples. Both good choices. Cloning I gives you double the amount of pets you can make from a novice... somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 I think.
Since the patch, it seems what pet you come out with is entirely dependant on the dna you use and where you experiment. The actual look of the pet is just a skin wrapped around your combined resources. With Cloning I you have access to Kaadus and Dewbacks... both mountable creatures... for those that want combination mounts/pets
I think you'd have fun with the template you suggested. I know I have. Im currently 3-0-4-4
