Here are some experiences I had over the last 24 hours
Customer #1 (rude):
"what is milk used for?"
"creature taming tissues used by tailors"
"ok, what else do you need to make those?"
"reptile meat, milk, and a few other things"
"ok, I'll go get you those"
"Are you interested in taming enhanced clothing? I already have tissues and I'd be happy to make you whatever you like"
"no, I just want tissues"
"ok, I have those too for sale, are you a tailor then?"
"no, I just want them, and I don't want to pay a lot for them"
/addignore
Customer #2 (demanding):
"I'd like a non-CH pet, how good of a one can you make?"
"well, I believe I have a couple in stock now, with stats like xxxxx"
"is that the best you can make?"
"that is what I have, yes"
"I want you to make me some like yyyyyyy, there is a recipe online for one, I want you to use it, when can you have it ready?"
/addignore
Customer #3 (polite):
"Can you spare a second? I need help with a pet"
"sure, how can I help you?"
"I need a pet rancor"
"ok, I'd be happy to make you one, tell me what you need"
"I have the dna template, the meat, and the flora, I just need a MBE to make it for me"
/boggle
/curse
/sigh
"ok"
*inserts worst dna template I've ever seen into crafting maching along with his meat and flora*
*results in CL 40 rancor with 20% resists and 200 damage*
"here you go"
"thanks" *walks away without tipping
Me: *pulls off BE tag and vows to keep it off for the next month*

just about every bio-engineer has faced these problems.... and then people run around and yell how much they hate bio-engineers /sigh
you jsut have to realize that, much like real life, a lot of people are rude/dumb/mean/greedy but still try and tell yourself that there ARE good people still out there /breathe

I dunno, I mean I've had my share of rude customers, CH seems to have a very high "l33t factor", but I've been a BE since Sept and never have I been treated as a crafting machine before. Insert customers materials and schematics, out pops a free thing-a-ma-jig. Never happened before, but 3 times in 24 hours is pretty amazing.

I think any Master BE who actually keeps their tag up is bound to have a slew of stories like that one. Then again, I posted a story a while back about someone hitting me with a bunch of noob questions, and just as I was about put him on ignore, we agreed on some tissues he was going to buy from me. He took them toa tailor, and that tailor contacted me an hour later to buy several crates worth of tissues from me.
Anyway, one of the most laughable requests I got was for "a non-ch rancor." I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. I've had someone else offer me 10k for a crate of 50 Pet Stim-B.

Possibly a result of a very sophisticated group of players suddenly finding themselves dependent on BEs to make their best stuff and realising that if you simply demand a free/cheap schematic from every MBE you meet that by the time you've asked 10 you have your Bio Nutrient Supplement crates

I havent been Master BE for very long myself but since all have "bad" stories, ill tell one of my first experiences as an MBE.
No dont get me wrong, iv already had a fair deal with rude customers but this one was not rude at all.
I was standing right outside theed spaceport and got a tell from a Master Chef, read something like this:
"Hey man can you make some schematics for me"
So i thought, well ok i might do it since im not occupied for the time being.
Just as i was gonna reply:
"Ill pay for your efforts"
well when i heard that i was sure to make some schematics.
So he came to the spaceport and traded me some meat and flora to make broad spectrum nutrient.
This is where I screw up.
I managed the first time (filled it with great successes) to make a prototype instead of a schematic.
So i told him what i had managed to do, and he was understanding and traded me some more resources to make from, not rude at all.
Ok, so i proceeded to make a new one, this time i got a crit fail on the last experiment making it nearly useless, made a new one wich crit failed in the crafting stage itself.
Ok now i was getting pissed and explained to him what was going on, but still he wasnt mad or anything cause he obviously had his fair share of this as a chef.
So, more resources to come and i finally got the 2 schematics together with great successes and gave him back.
Then he wanted to trade one last time, and what do i recieve?
Well, let me just put it this way, the pay was very good
Even though he supplied the resources himself he didnt treat me like a crafting machine, he payed me very well for my 5-10min it took to make the 2 schematics fom him.
I wish all customers were like this tbh, understanding, polite and pay for what its actually worth.

Wee, still clicking the wrong button and double posting w/ no edit button in the options menu.
Anyway, lol, I know I'm getting old when I start thinking a game like this needs an age limit. Being an mbe is the first thing to ever make me think that about an mmorpg. Probably because it's such a difficult class to understand.
