I'm really new to BE and I read the FAQ in the stickied section, but I'm still kinda aimless. I do know that to keep the CL down you can't have any armor, and low damage is good for lowering CL, but I just wanna know how I should go about making a CL 10 or lower pet with high health, high kinetic resist, low dmg, and how to get rid of anything else not needed to lower the CL.

There are plenty of posts on this board about it. Some, even in the first page

Ignore the grumpy old sods mate. If you want to make a really nice CL10 pet theres a good tried and tested method that will work - now I'm assuming you're novice-ish so you'll need to get up to at least DNA sampling 1 on starport trash - behind bestine is a good place to start
then pack you're bags and head to dantooine
if you're low level then you only have a few experiment points - try
Voritor Dasher/Voritor Dasher/Huurton Pup/Huurton Pup/Hurrton Pup
1 point in physical and 1 in mind and you should have a pretty decent CL 10 pet
When you get higher in skill you'll want to use different methods and make multi generational pets
Even with no combat skills you can get missions for Voritor Dasher Lairs and Hurrton Matron Lairs
