Found one of these on Corillia south of Coronet tonight, and when I examined it, it had some awesome stats inc 65% kinetic resist (and death blow as I found out later) Couldn't for the life of me sample from it. My inventory wan't full (I checked three times), attempted a sample about 20 times before it aggro'd and death blowed in one hit 
Has anyone managed to sample this yet?

Are you master? I'm not sure if a master can even sample it, yet it can't be as bad as a mutant rancor so it's probably doable.
It all depends on your Sampling skills. I don't know the formula for figuring out what creatures you can sample at what level, yet perhaps someone else can fill you in on that

I sample these guys, could from DNA 4 on.

Sampling 3 = 20 tries 1 death and 1 DNA for me
Sampling 4 = 1 try 1 DNA and a running Twi'lek BE
They seem to be extremely upset about us poking them, but they are well worth it *grins* I have yet to see a mob with a higher Fierceness ( specially facing WHERE you find this mob )

heh heh, this sounds like a challenge! I'm off to find one but I'm going spiced up to the hilt and have a waiting speeder ready

Meh, these are OK, but if they are bugged and hard to sample then it isn't worth it. Seething Bol Crushers are about the same stats, 45% energy instead of 50%, and I leveled up my sampling on them. Granted, I got my master a LONG time ago (back when SBC's were beasts with medium armor and 50% kinetic and such), but I don't think the SBC's are any harder to sample from now, should have good success with sampling 4.
Easy enough to find on Dantooine, with a couple good pets or a friend or two you can pull missions for em (pay out aint bad either, about 14k).
There are Gurrecks on Endor, can't remember exactly which kind, but they are a solitary type, with 65% kinetic and energy, 9-10k HAM. Better and easier to sample from (from the sound of it) as long as you have a good mask scent (this is one of the few aggressive gurreck types).

Prowling Gurrecks (65% kinetic) and Hilltop Gurreck Hunters (55% Kinetic)

Our city is near a spawn point for these guys and I sample from them regularly. I have DNA 4. I managed to get 10 samples out of 2 lairs yesterday. They don't live long through the process and usually you only get 1-3 samples from each Matriarch. /shrug. Works for me.

I have DNA 3, didn't think to check that the level of the creature related to my DNA Sampling level
