Wow! What an exciting profession you have. Its got a little of everything.

The heart beatingfear of sneaking up on scary things that will eat you in a second, the excitement you feel when you are able to start the DNA sample, the overwhelming sence of accomplishment of getting the sample, than the 'Great Escape' after it aggros you . Its a real hoot as you run from the victim and his friends, tring to frantically throw on your armor over your bio-cloths and get to your speederbiker. I always seem to die as soon as I get on the bike..lol. But what a rush.

Than you get to find a nice quite place, throw out a camp and yourR2 and spend time combing over 70 DNA samples, using your brains to turn them into something useful. Than your back to the DNA sampling. Its a fun cycle.

Its the first time I have stopped the grind for a dayto play a profession, and its the first profession I have seen where you can actually create useful things that have a strong demand at even novice.

Cant wait to return, I didnt get a chance to toy with the tissues and that is just another cool thing in BE. The tailors and chefs in my guild are slobbering all over me. Its nice to feel useful rather than just another go and kill stuff character.

Anyway, I now see the heroism involved in creating the pets that I see in your vendors, thanks for all your hard work and cant wait to join you some day soon. Gotta have a Jedi too though .

I think you're quite possibly the first holo-grinder who hasn't come in and griped about how hellish this profession supposedly is. I applaud you

I also wholeheartedly agree with everything you've said. I don't see how any other profession in the universe could be more challenging and more enjoyable than that of Bio-engineer. It's just such a great combination of cerebrum and adrenaline and muscles, as you've got to be smart enough to know what to get and how to combine it, but also either fast enough on the /burst or good enough with a gun/sword to fend off things when they get mad about the whole needle-in-rear thing.

Simply put, there's no way I'd ever get rid of this profession. Admittedly, I bought this game waaaay back in June with a pie-in-the-sky hope that someday I'd become a Jedi (that was back when I thought Jedi were "born" at character creation, not earned through mindless grinding...how naive we all were, in those days). Then I discovered bio-engineering, and I truly think it doesn't get any better than this Nowadays, I wear my Master Bio-engineer title with pride, knowing that Jedi will come and go, but I'll always be a bio-engineer.

<shrug> I started BE as a holo grinder and I'll freely admit I hated the sample grind but once I hit master I found I rather enjoyed the prof. holo went silent after mastering so I'm thinking I'm far enough along to hopefuly get a good boost in the new system so I decided to keep BE. makes a good backup for my MCH on the other account too Master doc/BE as background suport for a MCH/flame4 comando is real nice my other toon makes good firesuport(literaly) for the BE when a sample goes bad as well.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

You can actually grind sampling? LOL

I spent about 5 hours yesterday doing picket missions on Dant... I'd milk, sample and then do the lair thing. I only got 60k sampling xp, but I managed to get about 400k unarmed xp, I think around 6k units of milk. I even managed to get a couple DNA samples from fierce picket protectors... basically I just had a lot of fun.

But sampling isn't setup to grind... I'm almost done with that line and I'll be able to grind up to BE through crafting in a day or 2 I hope. (currently have tissues 1 and 10k crafting xp)

But man, what a complex, robust and interesting profession.

I agree completely. I started myself as a casual holo player. But hey once I found that BE was the only profession to take out a Rancor in one shot (besidesurFOTMcommando).....DUDE I'M THERE! Been hooked ever since and hadnt even bothered with pickin up another holo....atleaste not yet (perhaps I too will return if I stray from it). I started sampling clvl 15....filled the first 2 boxes the first day (at this point I thought there would b no grind to it) went on to dant....finished ALL 4 sampling boxes in 2 days (appx 8hrs total play time) crafting has been the devils advocate.

BE is a way of life, the literal THRILL of the hunt (not bang bang hes dead) The challenge of finding what works where and how to make it better (unless ur a calc whiz).

I salute you BioEngineered Creature maker man.

I picked BE because I wanted to make pets. Not only to complement my CH Mastery, but also because I wanted to set 'em up around my house (1500m Southwest of Theed, Scylla server. Send Jowarr mail if you want the waypoint).

Then I did the grind, found out I loved the profession, and decided to keep Master BE, Master CH and Master Scout (yes...no combat skills. ).

Then we got those free holos, and the first one told me to get Teras Kasi Master.

It was a tough choice...and I decided just to stick with my CH/BE. *cry*

I had another character on Bloodfin I'd been fooling around with, and so I sent them on the path of the Jedi instead...and they're stuck at the moment. lol

So, if anyone sees Jowarr on Scylla...or Omawna on Bloodfin...be nice to them, would ya?
