Hello all,

Ok well i put a post up on the chef forum about this and figured i would put it here as well. I was looking for there opinion on weather it would be a time saver and/or better deal for them if they bought there BE additves already mixed with water and crated into the chef additve. I mean i do this now for my chef in my PC and he LOVES it. Water quality dont matter and he does not need to experiment at all....and even though the factory time is down from 3 min on the BE additve to 1 min on the chef additive run (numbers i was told on the chef forum...sorry if not correct) it would still seem to be a time saver and plus free up a factory for them. I mean seeing what the chef in my PC goes though and how many runs he does for a load of brandy is insane. So, what do you guys think...to much hassle? Just trying to ease some of the bad blood already forming between the 2 professions.

not all BE are artisans, in fact from what I can tell - most arent - so this is not a possibility

i don't know why chefs are yelling at BE's..... in fact, most chefs i know are very nice to me in-game

but on the forums it's another matter....... chefs can make food that does great things now

they just got a total revamp and don't need BE additives to make money, it just helps

LOL, I just started the real BE Grind last night, and by grind I mean really getting into making stuff and working on Mastery. I have been dabbling for a while as I was mastering Commando just to do it, since I started and release 6 killed my last desire to even be a Commando.

I love BE though, its awesome. In response to the above question I would say it depends. Most BE aren't Artisan's too b/c they need the SP for efficient mask scent abilities (ie scout exploration tree) and some form of decent combat to fight creatures that aggro while DNA sampling.

There are some with artisan skills that are Tailors, or some with CH skills, heck proabbly some that are even chefs now... but the majority probably don't have the skills to make addatives themselves. It is a nice thing to make them before selling them... but not a needed thing.

I have found enough business within my own PA, from both Chef's and Tailors, holo grinders and chosen professions alike that I will be completely busy pedalling even low level wares. I have a great partnership with one chef in my guild, as I make him nutirents and he makes the supplement for the food, which gives him chef xp for his climb too... and he in turns makes me some usable low level food or drink... Like Jawa Beer which is great for getting higher level DNA... +10 to mask scent and I can drink 4 at a time...

I think most Chef's are fine making their own stuff, since they do get XP.

Actually, it's a lot worse than most here are saying, lol. You not only need artisan, but you need domestic arts 4. And this is only to make a *light* additive (which seems to be the least in demand anyway). Only chefs can make medium additives and heavy additives.

SO, to answer your question, sure, those extremely few BE's who can make light additives (like me and you) who have orders to fill from chefs for light additives (I have only dealt in med and heavy so far personally) can be extra nice to the chef and do an extra factory run for them.
