Thread: shellfish collecting and milking, the two most boring things in game?
I don't understand all this whining about eggs. I can collect 500 -1000 eggs easily during a shift. I just search every lair I see on the way to my emptying my harvesters. It's really not that difficult. Oh there is a trick though, you can't use a vehiclebecause you're moving too fast andmiss the spawns, you have to use a mount.

You're wrong on the vehicle thing, though you occasionally have to circle. When traveling, lairs pop. Target them and bring up the radial menu, even if out of range to search. When you get close to lair, click "search lair" and continue on.
Works great for lairs off to your right or left. If they are straight in front of you then you may pass them before the radial comes up, thus the need to occassionally circle, but much much faster than a mount in my opinion.
Side note, put maskscent on and you'll get scout xp whenever you successfully buzz pass reds. Drink Jawa Beer to boost your Maskscent along with Mask tissue.
Except that I find picket dna to be mostly useless, lol. Maybe you've found a good use for them but I sure haven't. If there is a creature with excellent dna that is also milkable that's news to me. I've yet to find one.
That said, I did manage to get 300+ eggs last night alone while hunting for BMBQ's on endor, but that's my personal record by a long shot. For some reason I've had trouble getting eggs since this last publish. It seems to me like although you get a large stack of eggs when there are eggs, I'm getting a lot more "moths etc." then every before so it balances out.
And as far as milk goes, I've actually found this to be one of the easier creature harvests go get. I just stop whenever I see pickets, and each lair is generally good for between 200-400 milk. Not bad at all. Also when my alt hunts, he just stops along the way and milks what he sees. He came across a "wild" (i.e. non-mission) lair of bagerasets the other day and had fun milking then killing them. I think I walked away from that lair with 500-600 units of milk easy.

OMG!!!!! when did Ackis drop DE? i almost kicked myself for dropping DE to follow the holos, since they had intended to bring in some combat droids in january, but i guess that didn't happen. i never even got around to using up my remaining components or selling them, house is still full of droid brains, manipulator arms, etc. just waiting for a fellow guild-mate to get de and use them up. just waiting...

LMAO I'm being followed here now?!? LOL
I dropped DE on the 18th I think... gave all my components to a guildie (100 crates or there abouts), and now am working on BE, which is my third holo prof. I've finished the hardest part also (the sampling line) LOL so now it's just a crafting grind away until master. That will truly be fun once I hit master. Make a few pets for my own use, and then drop down to novice so I can still destroy bases. 
And yes, I find eggs the hardest to collect.. just because there's about 10-20 in each lair, whereas I can get 100 units of milk from 1 picket.
