Hi there,

I have been seraching Dathomir forever now trying to find these critters. Anyone ever find one? If so where abouts were you when you did? I have been focusing my search in the tar pit area but this may be incorrect.

Southern "Plains" - use the tar pits POI as a location to start from, and look near the transition from the green land to the brown plains. You will sometimes find them near the "Rancor lake" area as well, and scattered elsewhere, but the best success I have had is near the tar pits POI and the "transition" areas.

I've had great luck looking around -15 -4040. It's a valley to the South. Shuttle into the Southern outpost (cant remember the name) and jump on your bike. I've had a few spawns there, so fingers crossed it's good for you as well!

lol yesterday i got lucky

went to the lesser sarlaac and found some mutant rancors who didn't like me pokin them so i got deathblowed

on my way back i found a pack of malkloc duking it out with a pack of rancor youths

got three samples off one of the young ones

and just to gloat, i got 8 mutant rancor samples, 6 nightsister rancor samples and 5 rancor youth samples

Just FYI, Young Malklocs are different than Young Malkloc Plainswalkers. In my experience, they dont spawn in packs - they always spawnpaired, with one YMP and one Malkloc Plainswalker Mother or something like that. I tooled around deep in the southern plains for hours, they're very rare spawns, or at least they were when I've looked. Just go back and forth across the big, red flats and you'll eventually trigger one. When you do, mark the wp and then see if you can go out 1k and come back and trigger a respawn =)

i know they're different, i didn't feel like typing it all out

there was a male, a female and a youth, so i sampled the youth a few times after the pack fought off the rancor youths
