Thread: New pets made, wondering if I can get some feedback from the pros
Endor is certainly my favorite place to get dna. I probably get around 75% of my dna there. Combat skills I don't really see as a benefit when getting dna. My attitude has always kinda been: if you can kill what you're sampling, maybe you shouldn't be sampling it, lol.
Also, I wouldn't sweat the quality of dna samples or the quality of meat and flora that you use. The quality of meat and flora makes no difference, so use grind quality stuff. The quality of dna samples seems to do only 2 things, it reflects small incrimental differences in the stat values, and affects the likelihood that specials will stick. So to me (and I know others have a different strategy) I only care about the quality of the samples in the aggression slot, and only in cases where I'm trying carefully to make the specials stick from that slot. Otherwise the quality of samples, normally, is not going to make a very noticeable difference in the end result of your pets.
Also, the results you get are a lot less random then you think, once you understand what is going on.

Now for the BE community : I'm absolutely terrified of Dathomir, so the most dangerous place I hunt on is Endor. (As a BE/Scout/Pistoleer I have just enough offensive and defensive capability to scream like a little girl when something aggros on me.) However I did manage to sample several animals. Lvl 50 arachne warriors and webmasters, mostly altho I did hit a few merek avengers and bull robas as well. I was only using Very High Quality DNA samples. The resources I used were the current crop of Talus carnivore meat and Endor berries. (both have several 900+ stats)
Any feedback would be appreciatedaltho from what I understand many of the aspects of pets are totally random and the best you can do is pray.

I wont repeat the very good advice you've been given already, but I wanted to comment on your use of resources. The quality of the flora and meat you use during clone creation has no affect on the outcome of the clone. Since you've said you are just starting to make pets, I assume you are doing other things with BE (additives, tissues, etc), so don't waste your good resources on pets. Use them on something where they matter.
I appreciate that tips.. that's a pretty significant tip !
