For a long time ive been trying to make exaclty lvl 35 pets ... ive come close 34's 36's ect ect ... but never a perfect set of 35's

today on talus i was looking for some GSP'S for some 1st gen pets id how to be makeing some triplets with when i ran across a

mire maurader

11k ham

light armor

55% kin and energy

blast an acid 10%

the rest was vul .

crip and stun were the specails

i milked the spawm point till i got 7 samples

i went home and got some deranged mantigrue dna that i have been useing to make a nice resist pet

deranged mantigrue

10k ham

50% kin

45% energy

70% stun, electric, cold, acid

vul to heat .

blind and stun are specails

pattern was

MM MM DM DM DM

exparament untill you get light armor and stop

out come was

lvl 35 razor cat

9900 ham

8000 action

7000 mind

light armor

53% kin

51% energy

23% to blast heat and acid

vul to the rest

330-340 dmg

Crippling strike

stun

no ranged

made the 2nd and its its a few points of ham less and 320-330 dmg i just wish the dna was easyer to get .. talus is a real pain to get dna from imo =/ so how did i do on them =)

I'm going to try this tomorrow and see if it works for me. I've been waiting for hard info on what to sample and which dna to use where in the template (this is the point where someone gives a url to a site with all the info I could possibly want on this subject )

Hats off to SOE. Not many companies could take the best MMO on the market and fu*k it up completely, that takes real skill.

what were the quality of the deranged mantigrue samples?

i'm confused as to how the crippling strike cloned through

i think blind would be more useful than crippling strike since it rarely works on creatures (and with dizzy doesn't keep them knocked down anyway)

i'm gonna try this though, i've got a bunch ofderanged mantigrue samples lying around, just gotta find themire marauder (lol never heard of it)

Very Nice! Thank you for sharing the information with us. I will be trying this on Valcyn in the coming days!

Creatures don't get knocked down (in my many months of experience, including a couple in which I used a pair of Grand Wrix (KD special) exclusively. They had armor back then, sniff...

Anyway, this means that dizzy and KD in PvCritters is pointless. They won't fall down like an NPC or Player will.

Crippling Strike is NOT the same as KD, however. It is a posture-down attack, and works great on critters. My own pair of twin gurrecks (34 & 35) have int/blind and stun/crip, which means the opponent is doing less damage, has a smaller chance to hit, swings less frequently, and can be made to stop running around like mad (tho the posture-down timer mitigates this - only one PD in 30 seconds if I'm remembering the old nerf properly) and will take extra damage when PD'ed in melee. According to a post in the brawler forums, testing showed that intimidate may also make other state effects stick more easily, but that's hard to substantiate. I just love how it cuts the damage from an affecting opponent to 1/2 or less.

I use cripple when something in a herd or popping from a nest starts coming after me (I have no combat abilities to speak of) - hit it with a PD and it kneels, letting me gain some distance and usually causing it to switch to my pets. Since both have ranged attacks I don't have to even wait for them to catch up to whatever is chasing me to get the PD in.

There seems to be some general confusion about crippling strike vs Knockdown, so hopefully this'll help clear it up a bit.

This is a nice recipe and I hope to try it. I can't use CL34s anymore so I hope to sample them down to the triplet range while keeping the armor.

Good work. The Dizzy special is useful, because it seems to prevent certain other special attacks, and can work in conjunction with a TK or other class that has a knockdown. KD specials by themselves do not work on other creatures, and are very unreliable at best on NPC humanoid opponents, so I generally do not bother with them, in favor of intimidate, cripple, stun and other such specials, or poison/disease specials (most effective in a long fight, or when two or more can be applied from the same or different pets.)

My CL 35's average 10K health, 6k or better for the other two pools, with 55-60% kinetic, armor and 300-350 damage, but I have been working on and refining them for some time; these are quite decent for an early effort and quite usable pets at any stage.

Any ideas on where on Talus to find the elusive Mire Maurader? I've been driving around for hours, and haven't had any luck. Anyone know where they are?

i know crippling strike is a posture down....... i meant that i've never had it actually posture down a creature
i'm glad you've had better results though, i won't lose faith in this special lol

since knockdown doesn't work at all, i've had many orders for the cripple/dizzy combo and point out to my customers that it doesn't work on creatures so i'll let them know at least the cripple will work
