Ok, so I only managed to get enough DNA to do 2 experiments but heres how it went

First Combine was MR + 4x Kaumrith Snapper, control with no experimentation Cl 34, no armour 8.5/8.1/6.6 HAM
Second with maxed Physique, AR1 11/8/7.3k HAM CL 35.

These combines had 3 effective resists that were 30 on the control but rolled around to 0 on the armoured pet, everything else was pretty much the same.

The loss of 90 points of resists could account for the armoured being only 1 cl higher.

Second attempt was MR MR RY RY MR
Control was CL 54
Maxed Physique was CL 61

Both were armoured, the maxed physique had 2k extra Health, and 30 points (across 3 resists) extra effective resists but 10 less damage 9assuming just natural variation, the quality of DNA samples was identical in both experiments)

Nancy,

This is my beef with the whole creature level thing right now pertaining to creatinf and taming.

Your average wild pet at CL 60 to 70 has a lot more HAM that what our BE'ed pets have.

I mean why try and make these awesome pets if the HAM variance and Damage output etc. is so small as to be negligible.

If we can make higher level pets then let them reflect those things or let us play with the secondary HAM stats that can really make a pet move from good to UBER.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

According to SWGCreatures, the highest CH wild pet has just over 12k HAM, which is easily achievable at the top end on BE pets, its even possible to get up to 14K, but hard without pushing the level above 70.

nah. that's just not true. please provide an example of a "CL 60 to 70" animal that has more HAM than we can do? The highest HAM critter in that range that I've seen in the wild is the merek harvester which occasionally has just a hair over 13k, but we can certainly better that, and of course that is in no way "average" for wild animals.

Here's a contest we had a while back:

The phantom resists appearing in the maxed physique test is b0rking the results. The idea was originially to test the difference primarily between two pets that were identical EXCEPT for the amount of health they have. Try this again on pets that have vulns to everything except kinetic.

Here try this experiment:

Control: MH-MH-MH-CBD-CBD - no exp (should give about 52% kinetic, rest vuln, no armour)
2nd pet: MH-MH-MH-CBD-CBD - max physique only (result same as above)

My guess is that the 2nd pet will have a lower level.

OR

Control: MH-MH-CBD-CBD-MH - no exp (should give 60% kin, rest vuln, no armour)
2nd pet: MH-MH-CBD-CBD-MH - max physique (as above but with armour)

My guess is that the animals will have a similar level despite the 2nd having armour.

It doesnt need to have vulns to everything, as long as they're special protections rather thane effective, they will stay the same.

Ok same again with Blood Seeker Mites, Maxing Physique gave a HAM increase of 2.7/0.5/1.3 (4.5k) but no change in level (24).
Again with Arachne Warriors - no change in level for experimenting physique just below the ar1 threshold, Maxing physique gave armour and a cl increase of 2 (28-30)

Well since I am not a Ranger, when I look at a Gurk or a Enraged Rancor they have more HAM than my level 65 pet. Are they over CL 70?

Mutant Rancors have at average what 14 what is their level.

And what are krayts and kimos, they must then be like LEVEL 300.

So if a CL 20 can have 8k HAM shouldn't something at level 70 have significantly more?

I am not sure any of this will be changed in the balance or not.

But again if we as BE's could tamper with secondary stats in a meaningful way we could change the face of pets considerably.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

Mutant Rancors have at average what 14 what is their level. 75

And what are krayts and kimos, they must then be like LEVEL 300. 332 i think for Ancient Krayts actually

So if a CL 20 can have 8k HAM shouldn't something at level 70 have significantly more? It could if we could sample CL 125 creatures and proportionately bring them down generationally like we can for CL20 creatures

I am not sure any of this will be changed in the balance or not.

But again if we as BE's could tamper with secondary stats in a meaningful way we could change the face of pets considerably. Agreed, though with doc buffs changing and the CB making armored brawlers less of an ubertank, together with a fix to all the CH pet bugs like autostore, we may see a return to buffed pets being the preferred tank in the game.
