Thread: A question about tissues

I read about tissues in the FAQ and it says tissues either go in formal wear or casual clothing. Does that mean that the tissues only goes in synthetic cloth/reinforced fiber panel or that the enhanced cloth/panel only goes in formal wear/casual clothing? I.e. is it possible to put Active Tranq in a Doctor's Dress that isn't part of the formal wear and causual clothing lines, but takes synthetic cloth?

I think this is rather a question for the Tailor boards, but two sites I have found useful and also direct customers to are

http://www.zephyrdesigns.moonfruit.org/

and

http://www.infamousbrad.com/swg/

I haven't been to either on for quite some time, so I can't vouch for the correctness of numbers and all, but they probably still explain the principles. Hope this helps!

hi guys me and a guildmate wound up luck enough to loot a set of 11 krayt tissues
and i am looking to have a nice t21 one made up on my server but we have some questions

Stats on tissues
max dmg +64
Speed -0.5

now when i have a weaponsmith make this what will the final damage be?
do the tissues stack or just add +64 to the final dmg?

and say if i have a ws that can make a non krayt t21 at say 147-404 what would be the final dmg on that

thx for your help

No, the tissues do not stack. Assuming perfection in the crafting, the T21 will come out with 64 higher damage, and .5 lower speed than normal.

That said, however, you will only get one chance to get this made. Any critical failures on the components, and you won't have enough tissue for the gun. A crit on the final combine (God forbid) and you lose all the tissues. Anything less than perfect experimentation, and you'll likely notice the difference in damage or speed. So, don't be too suprised if the numbers aren't exactly 64/-.5 better.

Just a friendly warning, any of these things may happen during the crafting process. Don't wig out on your smith if it does, because there's nothing he could have done to prevent it. Also, only go to someone you trust. While rare, there are some people for whom greed is more important than reputation.

Good luck!

The only weaponsmith that can predict the final damage would be one on your server. We all have different resources across the servers.

If it were on Intrepid I could tell you that my base T21 with stock is 174-404 with 7.5 speed. Thus, if experimentation went well on the Advanced Blaster Power Handler schematic AND on the final combine of the rifle you'd get a T21 that was 174-468 damage and 7.0 speed. This means diddly squat since you aren't on Intrepid.

Personally I would suggest a different use for those tissues. As a WS currently and having been a rifleman before you will find little difference between that T21 and a normal factory crated T21. It basically all comes down to the slice. Only if you get a perfect slice or near perfect slice do those tissues then become a good use in a T21. I would suggest instead something like a jawa ion for PvP or perhaps some pistols or carbines, whatever else you can use.

Use them in DXR-6 Rifle now that would be a sweet rifle you would have enough to make 2!

I agree that T21s are a misuse of tissues. The T21 is a high damage weapon already. Using Krayt tissues in a T21 is going to give you of the smallest increase percentage in max damage, aside from the laser rifle. A 35% slice on a standard T21 will do as much damage as a 15% slice on a Krayt T21, or there's a 50% possibility of a speed slice which wrecks the rifle completely. A DXR or Jawa rifle are better choices.
