First off this is NOT About becoming Jedi. This is about the difference between Being a True Crafter and a Grinder.
I Started a Thread on the Armorsmith Forums to discuss possible Solutions to the FS Crafting tree Problem. I’m not asking for the EXP requirements to be dropped or Fighters would use this as a means to Grind out their 6 Lines for Jedi. But at the same time a Crafter would have to do some serious grinding with the hopes of getting enough Exp just to get the 4 FS Crafting branches. A Crafter cannot even hope to get them just doing their job.
I am not a Grinder I am an Armorsmith. And I would have to make 6000 Full sets of Composite and at the Price I sell for that’s 2.5 BILLOIN Credits worth. And the only answer I get is to go grind something else. That’s like telling a Fighter to go Dance for his EXP.
Please take the time to come over and read the Thread if your a Crafter and post your ideas.

Worse than the grind I think sweetieare the 'rewards'. As it stands, all 4 branches give you precisely nada. No real imporvement, no advantage over a new player, no improvements to your product, no real boasting rights (ala 12pt Master).
If a (for example) master rifleman takes ranged weapon accuracy +12 and ranged weapon speed +12 BOOM! Instant and noteable imporvement, *plus* they make millions upon millons of credits in the process.
If a DE takes *all 4 crafting branches* they gain, wait for it... a few less crit fails and few more amazing successes (Wow!) which adds up to not a great deal, hell I've never even gotten around to buying 25 points of droid assembly tapes which is pretty much the same thing. Furthermore, the crafting grind *costs* millions in resources and by all accounts 2 of the branches require either advanced combat skills to collect special resources or again, more millions to buy them from combateers.
The term 'ill conceived' doesn't seem appropriately descriptive... perhaps, 'Major Ballsup' would be more apt
Sorry, I'm being mean again aren't I...
erm.. *thinks of something good to say about the village* ... I quite likethe fog with the flashy lights and the kewl music
With luv
