ya, lamo one star people, not that i even care what people rate it, generarlly people that have nothing better to do.
BE's are the rarest prof in the game next to a good ranger.. jedi are i would guess near the top as far as profs go,, just goes to show you this aint really starwars /grin

It's a problem of BE, most people don't need us, and most of the ones who DO, need us SO much it's worth grinding an alt. We're very useful for CH, useful for Tailor, and critical for Chef.

Well I always wear my MBE tag. It does get a bit crazy at times, and I do get a lot of idiots, but I don't feel it wouldn't be right to hide away. Also I justify it in that my shop is a little off the beaten path in a player city on naboo, so there isn't much footfall.
Recently there was a massive upsurgance of players who were BE, and BSN prices dropped from around 1.6m a run to 1.35 almost overnight. However, since JTL, I have not seen manyof theseMBEs about (a few novices) and can't see many shops in the vendors lists on naboo or corellia.
I am actually thinking of slightly increasing my prices!
I definately see more Jedi tags around than BE, but I reckon a lot of BEs do hide.

i can vouch for that, it's what pushed Septus out. He got annoyed that all the extra competition was driving his business into the ground (even tho he told me that he was never in for the cash) and that really, it wasn't worth doing anymore. He tried his hand at pet creating (was funny receiving tells from Septus asking ME for advice) but that really didn't cut it for him either. Sigh... memories.

I plead guilty, Your Honor. The first thing I do when in game is to turn my title off. If I don't, I'm innundated with tells, mostly asking for unrealistic items. However, even with those who want bread-and-butter items, such as nutrients, I find that with the current meat shortages I am unable to help them. My vendor is empty, and I wait patiently for good Dath Carn meat to spawn.
Sadly, most of the last few tells I have had have been rude. In one, a player told me: "Go to <placename>." I asked where it was, and he told me it was on a different planet. I asked why I needed to go there, and he said I had to go to make some money.
As it turned out, what he wanted was for me to make schematics for him to use his own resources at 5K cr. each. When I told him I didn't make schematics except for guildmates, he got angry, but tried to bargain with me. I told him I might CONSIDER making a schematic in exchange for some of his meat, and he said "I'm not trading my good meat for a few minutes work. Forget it. You are too difficult," and charged away. By that time, my group had already left, and I spent a great deal of time trying to catch up.
It wasn't a total waste of time. I did learn something from the conversation. I learned that I'm not at the limit yet on my /addignore list.

LMAO.
I too plead guilty...kinda...can i plead half guilty?
The secret that i use is i hide in ignorance. how do i do this? Simple. use the least common tag in the game- "breeder" The people who are smart enough to know that the title is BE are (in my experience) the people who have either been a BE before, are one now, or know you well enough to put the title with your profession. It's great because i can run around coronet all day and noone will give me a tell asking for something BE related aside from the people I am working with/have worked with- and they aren't the rude ones. Also, being /anon so you can't be searched also helps. But the coolest thing about the title is that it's so unknown that i don't even get targeted on base raids, and noone bothers to tell me to take down my tag either! While someone with practically any of the other Be titles is fairly easy to spot, a "Breeder" running around with a pike doesn't look suspicious.
It's a great trick, and almost noone outside the BE community recognizes the title, so you can be safe from all the nasty tells

At one of the last gamewise census, there was over 1000 Jedi over all the server. I can't remember any other profession at the time other than Ranger. There were 519 of those. And I know I see more Rangers than IDs or BEs

Today I logged my Master BE in on Flurry. I was bored and decided to get some Mutant Rancor DNA, now mind I haven't played this character in close to 8 months. All I can say is wow, I was totally blown away. Within 3 minutes of loading in coronet I had 6 tells asking for pets/food additives. While i waited in the buff line the Doc said "Whoa, a master bio-engineer" like it was some ultra rare thing.
Has anyone else had this happen on other servers or is it just Flurry ?
I've been reading up and it seems like our value as a proffession is about worthless. Rather then hire us, it seems chefs would rather pick up some skill themselves, and CHs seem to have thinned out alot with the Jedi grind also. However it is kind of nice, the only people who are Master BEs are the ones who really love the profession and not just grinders or cash cows
