A friend of i know is considering doing bio enginer up to master with this template below, thoughts of it or other ideas to add in would be cool.

Bio'Enginer 4-4-4-4 = Master

Scout 4-1-4-1

Ch 4-0-0-4

Medic 0-0-0-4

Creature Handler 4-0-0-4

Marksman 4-4-4-4 = Master

This would allow to teach pets some commands before giving to a player , as well about to use pets up to lvl 36 in combat or two levels equal to max pet control level . Then with Master Marksman a good mix of weapons to use rifles - pistols , then add in whatever level of creature your using should work out somewhat good .

Personally I'd try MBE/TKM/ with scout exploration skills then throw in 1 tree of CH (prob 0004).

This template would allow you to make pets and kill most things. CHs can train their own pets, and the Non-ch pets will often only need normal attack and mount, hence 0004 CH.

I see what your trying to do with the master marks/CH up to cl36, but really a TKM, or other elite combatwould trounce this template without batting an eyelid. The marksman template is really a little too broad for so few skill points, you are probably better offtelling your friend to chooseone elite combat.

I was thinking:

Master BE
TKA 4040
Ranger 0030
------
Master Scout
Medic 0004
Brawler 4000

for when I'm in the CU. Master Marksman is wasted, I would go for as much pistoleer as possible.

For you, I would do:

Master BE

Pistoleer 0444

CH 4004

------

Scout 4004

Medic 1104

Marksman 0400

He figured this one up -

marksman 0-4-0-0

Pistoleer 4-4-4-4 M

scout 4-0-4-1

medic 0-0-0-4

ch 0-0-0-4

Bio E 4-4-4-4 M

_____________

or could do this as well

marksman 0 4 0 0

Pistoleer 0 4 4 4

scout 4 1 4 1

ch 4 0 0 4

medic 0 0 0 4

bio e 4 4 4 4 m

Both seem to balance out just about , the #1 one gives me some lvl of ch to use but with master pistoleer and the #2 gives me a little more of pet level to use with what pistoleer skills i would have.

I created an alt that was master be master tkm (for when mutant rancors get testy about the needle) scout 4/0/4/0 ch 0/4/0/0 (for storing mounts to be trained later) and novice medic and this template works very well.

the toon in general can hunt check harvies on planets more dangerous then naboo and usually has no problems sampling if she does she can pretty much get away unscathed

Duncaan Darkcrest elder Jedi/ Nine aces pilot (for now or until they bring back CH )
Conneer Darkcrest Smuggler/msmuggleralliancepilot
Bart Darkcrest Elder Shipwright 12 pt.chassis 17pt weap systems M/Reb pilot
buf'fy 12point artisian/arch master imp pilot
auction winnings can be dropped at 5636 -3868 naboo
Please note this post as with the game in general is subject to change

You know what...I forgot about Master Marksman. This was my first holo profession and I used itfor resource gathering and protection when I was an aspiring BE. Master Marksman is nothing to write home about.

Why not just Master CH and BE and buy all your other stuff for crafting with your pet sales Now there's a good idea...

Here is my template....

TKM = Killing, getting rid of nasty poisons and diseases, simple defense, self-healing and nice little buff with TK Powerboost

Medic 0 1 0 4 = Keeping myself healed with Stim B's if, I need it.

MBE = My favorite crafting profession....Igot a sadistic feeling after I wrote that...lol. Yes, I know I said I was givingBE up but, I just couldn't do it.

Scout 3 0 4 0 =Sampling stuff that allows me to make nice CL10 (Non-CH) pets....this is where the current pet market is right now. Allows me to hunt resources for tissues making.

Artisan 0 0 31 = Because it gives me a basic vendor to sell my BE stuff. Gives me survey skills to find flora for everything BE's make.

At this point in the game, I can only hope the CH profession gets the love and appreciation it deserves someday. Right now, it's quite disturbingly the pits...sorry about that last remark.

I stick with mBioE, mCH, and ranger tracker 3.

I can't use vendors, I can't survey, and I know better than to get into combat.

however, I can track, I can see both special1 and special2 in /examine, and I can use any pet I can create (up to the limits of the CH profession).

in a pinch, I've got a pet to cover for me. otherwise, I keep the speeder close, macro /peace all over my toolbar, and use my innate sneakiness to survive.

if chefs/tailors/players want my products, they can contact me personally.

I've got combat alts, and I firmly believe that if you're going to spend 15 skill points for a novice combat profession, you ought to spend 200 skill points in combat, novice to elite. the exception would be my wookiee mDoc/mCM, who is required to have ranged support 4, and who I've trained to rifles 4 to use my bowcaster more effectively.

we're not crafters, and we're not combatants. we're BioE... somewhere between scout, medic, and elite crafting. I chose to follow the scout/ranger/CH path to support my BioE, since the pre-reqs are all there, and the skill points allow for overlap of those professions.

all that said... I can hunt up 10k stacks of meat unbuffed, unarmored, and using a CDEF. I keep a throwaway pet around for lair smashing when I go a-hunting, but I use tactics and sneakiness to avoid direct combat. it's slow... VERY slow...
