I tried to use the FAQ's macro in the sticky messages but it didn't work

Is there still a command to change target? When I ran the macro it said that I could not smaple from myself as the macro did not pick a target. Does anyone know any good and working dna harvest macros?

check carefully to make sure there are spaces where you need them and none where you dont and everything that should be capitalized is - its all case and space sensitive

you need to add /ui action cycletargetout without the /ui action its a bum command. I had that problem as well but i did some digging to find the right command.

Hi,

i have the same problem..

macro:

/ui action targetself;

/uiaction cycletargetout;

/follow;

/sampledna;

everytime the message appears, that i cannot sample DNA from myself.

I have also tried

/ui action cycletargetoutward;

and

/ui action cycletargetoutwards;

as it is posted elsewhere, nothing works... seems that this commands are not up to date...

so what the heck is the right command to target a nearby creature???

this may sound stupid but try /ui action cycleTargetOutward;

i have a feeling that these commands are case sensitive.

It is "/ui action cycleTargetOutward;" and yes, it is case sensitive.

I made a macro for my CH/BE account, for when I'm getting DNA from creatures that would kill me very quickly if they aggro.
Starting out masked, and on my swoop (with my swoop or myself targetted):

/dismount;
/mask;
/pause .5;
/mask;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/pause .5;
/sampledna;
/pause .5;
/target Speederbike;
/mount;

Obviously this is intended for attended use. I set it up in the top F1 slot, then bike over, still masked, to my intended sampling victim. Click F1, then have the finger on the Numlock key in case it attacks.

You'll step off the bike, drop mask and renew it, target the nearest creature, start to sample, then climb back on the bike.
If the sample goes through without a hitch, just click the macro again. If the creature attacks, hit Numlock and steer, then start spamming peace.

Tested this last night, after having died twice to a Merek Assassin while trying to collect DNA, and got 49 samples without even being incapped.
