Thread: So which creature we cant sample dna from?

hi, im a new MBE, but i was wondering which creature in the game we cant get dna from. i know that enrage rancor and kimo we cant get a blood sample out of them. so feel free to post any creature type and name that you have try to draw blood from 
. i hope this help the new BE so they wont wasted their time runing up to a enrage rancor without argoing it and stand there trying to get some blood from them

There's no official statement on this but according to the experience of the BE's on this board (and my own) Mutant Rancors are the biggest critter we can sample, so nothing above level 75. If you want to know all critters below level 75, take a look at http://www.swgcreatures.com

Technically we dont know the hard coded upper limit for DNA samples, however the chance of sampling a mutant rancor (cl 75) is around 5% based on experimental data. The next highest CL critter is cl 80, so even if its technically possible to sample, its highly improbably, especially if you take into account the reliabilty of mask scent at that level and the risk of aggro.
The chance of success on a cl 4 is 85%
The chance of success on a cl 75 is 5%
Obviously to make a better prediction of the gradient you'd need a few more figures but you can roughly estimate that the chance of sampling a cl80 is approaching 0.
