Thread: med components? waaaaaa
I would very much like to hear what the CH's think about petstims now.
As a non-CH using a level 10 and being a level 80 combatty person, I don't use petstims - oh wait maybe because I'm a CM and can heal my pets with 'magic' now. But to be honest, I usually use a pet to pull a critter out of a pack then take over - the pet doesn't get damaged enough to need stims and it regenerates so very very quickly if it does take damage. As soon as I hit the thing we are fighting, it stops hitting my pet so that's why it doesn't take damage you see.
As for level. BE's can make instant stims and also petstims. It is easy to get mixed up. I think that all levels can use all petstims but only on pets of course.
Instant Stims are for people and they are combat level related - you probably know this.
The power of pet-stims was nerfed in the CU. It was something that ArthurDent asked about when he was correspondant and he did get a reply. The thread on that is here.
(sorrry - know this is bad news for you) dor

Pet stims are not useless. They are not nearly as necessary however. In a high level combat situation with 3 of 4 wild animals, pet stims are the difference between a live pet and a dead pet.
Patch 20 on test creates a situation where a pet attacks one animal in a mob. The entire mob aggros and either ganks the pet or the pet owner or both (typically it is both). Because of the new mob mentality, pet stims will be more useful. That is of course if the creature handlers don't just get completely fed up with the new dynamic and stop using pets altogether.
people stims are your bread and butter now.
