Thread: Low results on Stim D sub-components?

I've had issues crafting my sub-components lately.
On my ABECs, I was used to easily get 63/3.
I got some better resources and started to get a cap of 57 on power. I went back to my old resources and got the exact same low cap of 57. My initial assembly roll is now only getting me 14 power whereas before I was getting 16-18.
I've heard that with some profs, where a resources requires, as an example, OQ/PE but doesn't have PE, that rather then ignoring the missing PE value, it was counting it as 0. Is this happening here?
I've checked my clothing and exp, and food and all that stuff. I've looked very closely at the resources I'm using and how they are interacting at every stage of the crafting process. I just don't understand why my results are so much lower then they were a few weeks ago.
Anyone?

This is hard to diagnose withoutknowing the OQ and UT of your old and new resource, but I can take an initial shot at it.
First of all, how the OQ/PE works is that when there is no PE in one of the components, the other one counts twice. Specifically, for ABECs, power is listed as 66% OQ and 33% PE, but in actuality, since fiberplast has no PE:
Power ~ 0.66*(OQfiber+OQwheat)/2 + 0.33*(PEwheat)
Note that the fiber OQ, wheat OQ and wheat PE all count the same. For the wheat the contribution is actually 50% OQ/50% PE and not the stated 66/33. So if the PE of your wheat went down, that can lower your power, even if the OQ went up.
The second thing that might be going on is a bad assembly. Try using pyollian cake and see if that changes the max.

If his power is capping at 57, then the assembly has nothing to do with it. My money is on either the resources are not the ones he thinks they are. As mentioned, please post the OQ and PE of the wheat and the OQ and UT of the fiber on both sets of resources and the answers should come fairly quickly.

Just ran a test in-game. The aBECs (and aCRDMs) are coming out just as expected. I didn't need any schems for the others so I didn't do anything but aBEC and aCRDM.
For completeness, the resources used on the aBEC were:
Fiber - Ivik - OQ654 UT711
Wheat - Sateif - OQ948 PE562
The resulting aBEC was 56/4 (I got a lucky amazing on the power - normally I just get 56/3)
The experimentation percentage on Power was 72% as expected (948+562+654 / 3000).

OK, well this is helpful and at least I know that nobody else is feeling like something is wrong - hopefully the problem is just me and not a bug - I'm starting to think it is just me.
I'll post the stats when I get in-game next.
I was in a research center with pyrollian cake, an inspiration buff, and +25 to assembly.
