Thread: BE!! Good money making profession?
It really all depends on how your guild is structured. Stims are the single most popular BE product at this time. If your guild is willing to pay a premium for your services, then you can make a decent amount of money with a couple factories and some harvesters.
If you need to get into tissue production, there will be a substantial start-up cost to get the resources that you need to make competitive products.
With any of the products, you need to determine what your market is likely to be willing to pay and then see if you can keep your costs sufficiently lower than that to determine if you are going to make money.
I sell stim Ds by the crate for 150k and make about 4x resource costs at that.
I also sell chef tissues (MNS, BSN, INN) at 1mil, 1.3mil, 1.5mil and just about double my resource costs at that rate.
I am having a tough time keeping up with demand at those prices (with 12 factories running full time)...
Thanks for the info.
I'm not really selling to the guild, i will have vendors to put the stuff on. So it sounds like I can do well with BE, I might give it a go. I can always use good stims for my main, and I have the funds to start up the profession, thanks for your advice.
There were a few of us always on the lookout for good plant resources so we shared prime spots. Get some good harvesters and you will save a lot of credits over buying. I let my guild members know about what kind of meat I was looking for and they harvested it. I would pay them for it, not as much as I would on the open market, but enough that they were making a good profit. Those things let me keep prices down, still make a profit, and help out my guild in the process.
