After mulling through 20 arachne queen samples hoping for poison spray and countless mutant rancor samples paired with them, I've found myself with 0 templates having poison spray on them, and a good number with strong poison (queen's other special) and dizzy. That's not bad.

I'm opening this thread for folks to discuss their hits and misses with trying to get specials to stick by putting the samples in particular slots.. etc. To me, so far it appears a random roll with some specials being disallowed.

Your opinions are welcome.

I've attempted to make some stuff out of Horned Voritor Lizard DNA (same specials as Arachne Queen of Strong Poison and Poison Spray). I also have not been able to get the AE Poison to stick, even with 5 VHQ samples, but I'm going to guess that it might need some "key" value to be raised above a certain ammount, much like the theory on armor that requires that the Physique slot have AR1 and the accosicated stat is at 830 or higher.

Most specails I can get to come through nicely. Agression seems to be very heavily weighted for this in my experiments. I'd be curious to hear if anyones landed an AE special on a Template and what it took to do it, including experiments.
