Oh man, after spending the night sampling DNA last night on 3 plantes and zipping around the whole time on the speeder (Swoop), these vehicles have changed the game SO much.

1. I was able to blanket huge areas looking for the particular critters that I wanted to sample. Not possible before.I probably covered about a 2k square area on Endor and a 3k square area on Corellia in merely a couple of hours. Amazing. I would say that this makes the terrain navigation skill and mounts pretty much obsolete (ok, not pretty much, they ARE obsolete).

2. I escaped many really ugly situations by hopping on a speeder for a quick getaway from creatures that went aggro on me. As long as you don't go far from your speeder, and know where it is at all times, you have a good chance of escaping from all creatures that don't incap you on the first hit.

3. Since you can ride around with mask scent on, I was able to gain about 10k scouting skill simply in my DNA hunting. Did no killing or harvesting whatsoever. I'd say, this has got to be one of the best ways to "grind scout" now.

4. You can get close to the big ugly beasts much more easily. You basically just fly right up to em, land, and start sampling. If they break your mask scent, loop around and try it again. The bikes are so fast there is really no danger at all to you until you get off the bike, and by that time, you will already know that your mask scent held.

5. Egg collection is now very easy. While zooming around, I made it a point of checking out each nest. you can harvest eggs as you fly by, lol. I got about 100 eggs in no time.
