well i have failed 80+ consectutive times on trying to sample dna from n00b creatures on naboo. i just started BE last night so i dont have any skill in it, but this seems rediculous. i talked to a csr and she swears its perfectly normal. want to hear what the people of the professions have to say.

Was your inventory full? If it was, you will always get a fail.

yes when you start out you do have a very small sucess rate. make sure u try REALLY bad things like gorgs. it is possible to get nightspiders just as novice but that is pushing it. at the start its not really worth keeping the dna unless you wanna put some little things around your house or something.

1) Check that inventory is not full
2) Use maskscent if you've got it
3) Sample creatures that are not near high traffic areas and therefore easily spooked
4) Sample creatures that you can easily kill
5) Don't park your speeder next to the lair, as this tends to spook creatures as well

I did not find this to be the case. Yeah sure I tried the garden variety of street garbage, and I would mostly fail. Then I started running missions. I could sample from Nargalatch cubs with some regularity and before I trained Sampling one I even got a few samples from Giant Peko Pekos. That was after quite a few failures, agros, and waiting for them to land. Silly birds thought they could fly 20m off the ground and I couldn't sample them, but I was patient adn waited for them to land
