Hello, I have looked of the FAQ's and posts. I am looking for information on DNA sampling failure rates, what is the expected norm. I am in the Theed play area, with Mask scent and a BIO mask scent shirt. I am sampling on average 40-60 times before I get a DNA sample. I am a novice, but the creatures are only LVL 6. Is this a normal failure rate?

I am a 1/1/4/3 BE. I shot up through DNA sampling mainly horsing around.

At novice level I did a pile of diseased nunas and gnorts. My lady BE can't fight, so it had to be something her droid R2 unit could kill for her. I later got her up to marksman-pistols 2 and made her a DL44.

You might fail 50% of the time on really low level critters and the XP will not be all that bad. Around 80 or so like you say you are getting.

I got level 4 DNA sampling about 5 days ago and last night I took her to Endor and collected some very nice 38-44 level critter DNA. Only about 10% failure ratethe entire time.

We're talking Blood-seeker mite queen, Blood-frenzied boar wolf, bordok ancients and a hilltop gurreck hunter.

Sampling at novice sucks. you'll get better with the higher levels, you'll just have to stick with it.

having only earned 86 xp in the last hour, I dont think I'll be getting anywhere soon.I am amazed that we have any BIO engineers at all.

A normal failure rate would be about 50% for a Novice BE sampling the low level creatures just outside Theed. A long string of failures usually indicates that your Inventory is full.
