Thread: How's BE as an alternate?
So, I'm thinking about getting another account. He'll be artisan xxx4, and merch 34xx. I've been thinking about making him also either a chef or BE.
So I'm asking, how much work is a BE exactly? If I made a chef, I'll Id have to do is log on, move my harvs, make schematics, do factory runs, and maybe do some surveying. BE sounds like more work, is it?
Another question I have is, how much money can I make selling BE goods to chefs and tailors? Can I be nearly as stinking rich as an armor smith or weapons smith?
How much work a BE is depends on what you want to do. If you just want to do tailor tissues and chef additives then its not that bad. If you want to make good pets then there's a lot of work.
As far as how much money you can make working with chef additives, it all depends on your server, how many BE's there are and how many chefs need additives.

I plan on spending about 75 points on artisan and march, which leaves me with 40 points left. That isn't even enough to defend myself really. So how easy is it to master BE w/o comabt?
Chef right now is pretty worthless without a good BE friend or an alt that is BE. You can do BE by itself though. The fact that you have a master doc, or soon to be, well help you make pet stims.
As to how much money, well if you work out a master BE/Chef combo in there, then weaponsmith type creds but not quite armorsmith type creds.
My alt is a BE/Musician at the moment. She will drop Music as other professions are developed. She has zero combat skills and does just fine.
Go sampling on your speeder/swoop...
/dismount then sample.. (make sure you applied mask scent at a safe distance).. Then /target speederbike and zoom off if they aggro.
My main char is a master rifleman. He collects the meat/hides for her.
Soon, Evyl will finish mastering scout and go on and become a ranger. I want to be able to design a pet and then go in search of specific species. I don't want to have to rely on travelling all over creation and hope to run into a spawn.
Between meand my g/f, we have:
Master Weaponsmith
Master Tailor
Master Architect
Armorsmith (nearing master)
Chef (low level novice in training)
Medic/and some CM
and my BE-in training.
Of all of these professions, weaponsmith is the most time-consuming when it comes to surveying and collecting so many types of materials. Chef appears to be second in line due to the special requirements for advanced stuff.
