Thread: Taking down a base, using B/E
The idea is to pair up the single nucleotides (the ATCGs) you see in the given list so they have a complimentary pair. So you want the whole list to be AT, TA, GC, CG. To do that you are given a DNA sequence from 4 to 8 bases long like AGCTA for example, and must pair that with one of the nucleotides in your list. However all you need to do ismatch the first letter, in this case A, and match it to a T in your list. You then generate a TA and that one is complete, however stays in your list. You get a total of 20 lettersto match up and as you get near the end, sometimes there just isn't a match. In that case randomly pick one and move on.
The box gives you the pairs ofletters you are looking for up top for easy referrence. It is a very simple puzzle that comes accross more complicated than it is. This can be done in less than a minute once you get good at it. Though simple, it is the funnest of the terminals that need slicing.
