NaTiBu hit it on the head. As far as your other question about medium and heavy additives you need to be more specific as to which ones you are tlaking about.

A tip- whenever "Organic" is called for use wood with a high OQ (950 or better if you can get it). It is easy to snag and lets you save on the harder to get flora food (harder because you care about FL/PE/OQ).

That works for all of the Neutrient supplements and a good portion of the other chef tissues as well.

Also you have to use flora (or specific flora) in the flora slots but you can use other things in the organic slots. For example if you have a wood (or bone or hide I think but I haven't tested it yet) with a really high OQ you can use it for organics and it's often better than good flora since it doesn't have a PE or FL so OQ is used straight up. Milk and eggs will also work in the creature food slot but are sometimes harder to get than regular meat.
