I am an MCH/MBE, and I have been contiplating giving up my meager weapon skills in order to pick up some other skills. But as any CH knows, watching two high HAM creatures with armor fight is about as fun as watching paint dry. So I was thinking about making a nice trio of pets with a good damage output. My thought is one level 30ish tank with good HAM, light armor, some good specials (like intimidate and blind or stun), and a high kinetic resist (55-60). And add to that a pair of level 20ish pets with decent HAM, decent kinetic (for emergency tanking), some good specials, ranged attack, and the best damage possible.
The first pet shouldn't be a big problem. There are lots of recipes for creatures like that. The other two are the ones I am wondering about. Does anyone have any advice for low level, high damage pets? I am going to be doing some experimenting, and have a few ideas, but I wouldn't mind some tips from someone who may have tried something like this already.

As many vulnerabilites as possible is important in lowering the CL. Testing has also seen that uneven HAMs lower the CL dramtically too. For instance, in my CL11 (10k/6k/4k HAM)recipe i forgot to go into the experimentation phase and because of that, the HAM wasnt adjusted. Oddly, instead of it being lower than cl11 it came out cl18 with 4k/4k/4k HAM.

Yes, skewing the HAM and few resists are important for lower level. I was just wondering if anyone has had any success with high damage, low level creations.

Its possible to create a cl 10 with 400+ damage, we had a competition.

It's pretty simply. CL is calculated based on effective HAM and dps, so if you want high dps, better nerf the effective HAM (lose the armor, and get vulnerabilities to at least kinetic and energy). And if you don't care about the animals ability to hit anything ("to-hit") then it's even easier. I'm betting 600+ damage on a CL 25 is very possible if you're willing to make the sacrifices to do it.
