hi
after being a master architect for a while i decided to change profession to BE mainlybecause ilooks like an enjoyable profession to play and also due to a guild shortage.
i was wondering if any masters out there could advise me on what type/amount of harvesters I will likely need to become an effective be once i hit master for additives, stimsetc. As i mentioned i am currently master archie so figured it was a good opportunity to prepare in advance before i drop it
any advice greatly appreciated

As many good heavy flora farms as you have lots (at least), and a couple of good medium (or large) chem harvesters.

I like the automated flora farms for their efficiency, however I couldn't get enough flora to keep up with orders, so I use heavies myself. Some places are hard to put down a heavy, too, in which case I will switch back to the mediums.

You need as many as possible, especially if there is a great spawn of flora. I'm always using up the flora I just harvest. My lots have broken down into this:
2 x Houses (4 lots)
2 x Factories (2 lots)
4 x Flora Harvesters (4 lots)
I would like at least another factory and possibly 2 or 3 more heavy harvesters but really I dont want to do a static lot swap because once the resource shifts, the harvesters will be very unefficient and imo, not worth running. My advice to you is to keep the houses down to the minimum (you don't really need any houses, and if possible move into someone elses shop like I have). That way you get mucho lots for mucho harvies and facts.

If you do a swap, swap the lots for your factories and/or houses houses and leave the harvesters on your own lots.

Assuming you trust this person enough not to come back and take/delete everything in those houses or factories

To be able to run a business properly as a Master BE producing several runs of Chef Additives in addition to the Tailor Tissues, you need between 4 and 6 Food Factories and another 4 slots for housing/shop/storage.
You then employ someone else to harvest for you
or do a deal to get someone else's slots and bang as many Heavy Flora harvesters down as you can on every decent thing that comes along...
