go to corellia:
sample corellian butterfly defenders (E/NE of tyrena is a good place to start). they're aggro, CL18, and don't deathblow.
go to endor:
sample delerious merek avengers (between the smuggler's OP and the jinda cave usually yields some donors). they're aggro, CL40, and also don't deathblow.
combine:
delerious merek avenger in physique, prowess, and aggression. corellian butterfly defender in mental and psych.
experiment:
physique until fortitude pops 500+. mental to max. prowess to max. throw the other points around if desired.
results should fall in the 10k/9k/6k range, with AR1 and kinetic resist of 41% (stun special, ranged attack). if you happen to see a merek harvester (CL55), you can push the resist up to 60% with a single substitution for the delerious merek avenger DNA, but the CL will likely move to CL31-35.
again, this is a single-generation combine. resampling, recombining, and other shenanigans will yield a greater range of CL, HAM, and specials. the first generation clone isn't perfect, but it can make a good PvE hunting pet that can be fielded as a trio, or as a pet for levelling CH's.

Instead of doing CBD's (which I can never seem to find when I need them, grrr) you might considertrying blooming jax (if you don't want ranged) or mantigrue night stalkers (if you do) in place of CBD's. They are both slightly higher CL then CBD's, but generally easier to find, and are on endor which is a big plus in my book. Also, since they have much higher fortitude that CBD's, you can often get away with putting something without armor in slot 5 for the specials, and still end up with armor on the first gen combine.

the reason I used CBD's (and took a seperate trip to corellia) was for the vulnerabilities. stripping everything but kinetic resists on the armor seems to keep the CL low.
again, subsequent generations made from this initial recipe can be used to tweak specials (intim among them), balance HAM, or fiddle with resists.
I'll see what I can get with endor-only DNA while I'm out there. I'm always open to suggestions. so far, I do most of my work with about three recipes, and the simple 'sample the donor and reskin it' method.

Understood, take a look at blooming jax and mantigrue night stalker, they are perfect for nuking all the resists off of your pet (aside from kinetic of course) and you'll generally bump into one or both of them while searching for merek dna![]()

yeah, that makes the trip to corellia seem silly. I used the search on SWGcreatures to sketch out the recipe before I went hunting for DNA, but the blast resist skipped my results. stupid blast resist. I'll be checking this ingame later... I just hope the CL's of the endor resist strippers don't bump the final CL too much.
thanks.
thanks.

I did some testing. The night stalkers work as well. i used then and did varius experimenting once i got light armor, and each attempt came out at level 26. if i just experimented for light armor and didnt touch anything else. it came out level 21 each time. I wasnt able to check with the jax, couldnt find any, and the server was going down.
